Meant to also thank you for your daily prayers. Husband and I are both fighting bad Covid cases right now, and are believers in the power of prayer. We prayed for you throughout your leg issues and Praise God you’ve continued to improve.
Mr. Donnie, I'm a 71 year old country girl in Johnston County NC. I enjoy ALL your videos. You keep our history alive. I confess I don't always get to watch in a timely manner. But i always let the comercials play. My husband has not been well for 2.5 years to the point we had to close our auto repair and tire service of 42 years. His health consumes a lot of my time. Last week they finally found a non cancerous tumor on his pancreas. This has stopped the production of digestive enzymes, insulin and has blocked the bile duct. He has lost 50 lbs, has diabetes and is now jaundice. He will be having surgery next week. We'd appreciate prayers from all believers. God bless all the subscribers here. Yall are a good bunch of folks.

Thank you for sharing all you do. Our American History is completely lost. No this generation isn’t taught this. They have no home economics & they are a lost generation in my opinion. America is in a mess right now her threats are real I PRAY DAILY FOR AMERICA. I wish I would have written down my family history & stories. Sadly I thought one day I would do this. Well due to a stroke & a cancerous brain tumor in my 40’s my memory is GONE. But your stories & hearing you speak (my Father & his family was from Kentucky)I sometimes get wonderful flashbacks. You will not find a more straightforward honest person than Mr. Donnie. I have been a subscriber for a while now and have learned quite a bit regarding the past that I did not know. Being a former wildlife rehabilitator I also enjoy the wildlife videos. The metal detection is fascinating!! Learning about different shells and what year they were manufactured and possibly used. There's a wealth of information to be shared and learned if you take the time to just listen. Please like and share...Let your children listen to these videos so they may learn the old ways before they are gone forever. Until next time God Bless

Mr. Donnie, I just want to thank you for being who you are! I could listen to people like you all day. I grew up here in Ohio, so my experiences differ from yours somewhat, but what draws me to your channel and others is your style, your telling of history, and your faith. You see, when I was a child growing up, I was child #5, but every one of my sibs were grown and out, so I was almost an only child. My folks were older, so my aunts, uncles and grandparents were, too. And whenever we visited any of them, after a while, the men would go outside and the women would usually stay inside to talk. I tried to stay with them, I really did. But once I started following Daddy out with my uncles, I always wanted to be with them. They told STORIES! I have always loved stories! And they really didn’t sound so much different from you at all. Their voices were similar to yours, even their accents. It's a part of my childhood that I miss. So don't apologize for being who God made you. I think you are a treasure, and I know He does, too!

Well, It's been less than a year since I found your channel---but I watch one or two of your videos every week. The reason I love them is because I love nature, your Real Self presentations and narrations are just right! The mysterious things of the mountains are spooky and fascinating---and the history always makes me reflect. You're right when you say this world has just about gone crazy in a rat race. People need to slow down and reconnect with real things, like trees, gardens, story-telling, and family. God Bless you, Mr. Laws---I hope you and your family have a good Summer too.

When I come to Donnie's channel, I feel like I'm home. I was born and raised in the South Western part of Virginia, and Tennessee and Kentucky are just a stones throw away from where I grew up. Naturally I love the Smokeys, and Donnie speaks the dialect that I speak and grew up with, and that's comforting to these ol' ears! I love Donnie Laws channel--especially love the wild life videos. I actually love all of his content, as I've never seen a single video of his that I haven't enjoyed!

Donnie, your videos are great and if possible I'd give two thumbs up. Those folks that don't like them...let them go. You can't please everybody. I'm 71 and grew up in Pennsylvania but woods are woods and hills are hills. My brother's a year older than me and we knew every rock, cave, trail and such that was there as we grew up. Most of those things were wiped out in the name of 'progress' but your videos bring them back to me. We think we had the best lives a kid could ask for and I still learn about the area from my 101 year old mother. Keep up the good work and keep the past alive.

Forgot to say, you are leaving an invaluable record for future generations, for people who haven't even been born yet. It's one thing to read a book and look at pictures, but it's quite another to see and hear the man who was there telling you this history. That history must never be lost. You are doing God's work for all those people who made their way through life in Appalachia! Bless you for keeping them alive! The other thing is most history is in books and too often not about the people but what got built where and when, and how a town grew etc. What you are going ias actual human history!

I've said it before and it it continues to be true, the world would be a very much poorer place without you in it, I watch all your channels and feel grounded by your presence and content. We are all getting older and miss the quieter times of our youth, so to be able to share your memories is a blessing.

People are so fast paced that just sitting to be calm is more than a lot of people are used to doing. I personally love just sitting in the woods. I grew up like that. It’s so peaceful. Your videos are like that. Just keep being yourself. That’s all you can be. Sorry you’re seeing some subscribers go away. That’s frustrating. Prayers for you.
