- Come along with me as I tour all our gardens. Things are growing by leaps and bounds! Everything looks wonderful except Corie's beans. Today Matt and I added some deer defenses at the big garden and Granny's garden so hopefully that will keep them away.

I just have to watch your videos to see how the garden and flowers are growing. Thank you so much; makes me happy.
It’s so good to hear you giving God the glory and thanks for all your blessings. It’s something one hears so seldom. He is the source of all our blessings and gifts. He is so good to us. Thank you for praising Him.
I started watching your channel about 1 year ago when I went out on disability. I have learned so much from all of you. Tipper, Matt, Corie, Katie, AND Granny. We started our first big garden this year and are starting to harvest the bounty the Lord is providing. . I can't thank you enough for your wisdom and Bible teachings. It has helped me greatly. Keep doing what you're doing, the way you are doing it!! ❤
Thank you so much!
Prayers for Corie and Austin as they wait on their little one to arrive. Praying for Granny to continue to feel better. Prayers for all your family as you love and support each other.
Tipper, I have a very stressful job. When I listen to you on CZcams, your voice and your cadence helps calm my nerves. Whenever I get stressed I think, "time to listen to Tipper" I thank the Lord that you and your family share your lives with us.
Bless you! That is so kind. I’m so glad you enjoy our videos!!
@kemberleygotzon9906 I feel the same! After a stressful day at work these videos are blissful to watch. 🥰♥️
Definition of a weed; Any plant that is growing in a place you don't want it to be. The beauty of your garden makes my heart sing.
Love that! Thank you!!
What a BEAUTIFUL oasis your yard and garden have created. With much labor from you and Matt!!! No wonder you don't feel the need to go on vacation. 😅👍❤️
😊 thank you
You have a beautiful place there, views everything ! God Has surely Blessed you heavily ! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻first watermelon
You know what Tipper, what I love is that we are not that dissimilar in our gardening environment. When you are needing rain, we are already praying for it. Our gardens are an Eden and I always feel blessed to harvest just a little bit. I know the wildlife can be frustrating at times, but I know God always provides exactly what we need. My husband planted corn this year and we are watching just one seedling grow, lol, but I was able to barter my gladiolus flowers for some field corn this evening, and all is good. I will continue to pray that your lives are rich in peace, love and prosperity. Enjoy all those little garden victories! Peace always with you and your loved ones.
Thank you 😊
A young buck was in our yard last year. He was not afraid of us. He ate the tops of my beans. We started yelling and bringing the dog out on leash to bark at him. The beans came back. He didn't.
Words of wisdom. These are actually words to a song but they are so true. From the song Three wooden crosses by Randy Travis, it's not what you take when you leave this world behind but what you leave behind you when you go. And this saying Life is not measured by the breaths we take but by the moments that take our breath away.
Beautiful garden and yard. Yes Lord we need some rain please Sir. I have a praise report, I had surgery on my eye to replace a clouded lens today. It is doing great and I can see clearly again! Thank you Lord Jesus! Prayers for Corie and Austin and Granny and you and Matt and Katie and Ira. The Lord is so good to us! 🙏🥰😍
So glad your surgery went well!!
When she moved, my neighbor gave me two planters with moss roses in them. They have bloomed every year since then….15 years ago!! They’re very heat and drought resistant thankfully.
Love that!
Your gardens are absolutely beautiful Tipper. I'm excited about the watermelon. My grandpa used to grow Black Diamond watermelons. They were huge. He would take a truck load to town and sell them for a dollar each. They were so delicious. My grandpa used to tie a bunch of tin cans together and hang them around his melon patch to keep deer out. I guess the noise scared them away.
Just a day and a half till storytime with Tipper❣️
Got my daily dose of God's natural beauty thanks to you, Tipper! Glad to hear Granny's doing well. Continuing to pray for her and for Corie and baby. God bless!
Best success we’ve ever had with deterring deer in the garden is playing a radio through the night. We set up a radio playing and they don’t stick around if they wander in. We’ve done it for several years now with no problems since we started.
I have neighbors that tried that till I complained about hearing music 24/7, it’s ok if you don’t have neighbors🌻
My Nan did this years ago for the racoons in her garden! It worked!
True, but given who I’m commenting to, their neighbors are all their family with gardens. They don’t have to blare the music. Just low music playing startles the deer to the fact that “people” are around. We live on several acres with only our family around as well. And we don’t play 24/7. It’s something we do at night, as that’s typically when they are gonna come in and eat, when there is the least chance for people activity.
Great idea, wonder if that works for rabbits ? Carolyn
How does that radio do in the rain? I’m sure some are waterproof but I don’t think I’ve seen any.
I love the sound of the creek running.
😊
The gardens and raise beds are doing amazing ; the work You and Matt put in, is paying off; yes the streamers do their jobs. It’s so rewarding isn’t it!! So lucky 🍀
Thank you! I love seeing your garden. One grandfather had a dairy farm and had three large garden areas. My other grandfather had a back yard garden that took up half the yard. Whenever we would visit either one they would take us for a tour. This brings back good memories. ❤️
Love those memories 😊
The panning view beginning at 1:56 is the most beautiful I have seen in your yard videos. Getting this view from on high of the whole garden puts everything in a different perspective from all the shots from ground level. You and Matt should be as delighted with the fruits of your labors , under the Almighty's nurturing care, as we are that you share these resplendent scenes with all of us.
Thank you 😊
My Daddy fenced an entire compost pile and wired it over. It was my morning glory kingdom
So lovely!
Daisy fleabane, has a historical association with repelling insects. In times past, people utilized its aromatic properties to ward off pesky insects by hanging it from the eaves of their houses, stuffing it into pillows and mattresses, or even burning it. While the efficacy of these methods might be understudied, there’s evidence suggesting that birds seek out and incorporate Fleabane into their nests, perhaps to protect their vulnerable offspring from parasites. This intriguing relationship hints at the plant’s potential insect-repellent properties.Your garden looks very healthy.
Thank you 😊
Thanks for sharing your beautiful garden Tipper. You certainly have a little piece of heaven. Blessings to all of you.
Thank you 😊
The deer have stripped a lot of our bean plants too.
I would love to have a night vision camera to see how they react tonight to the cayenne pepper that we just dusted the plants with!
😊 I hope it runs them off!
I see those nasturtiums, and I am back with my grandma. Such wonderful memories they bring. ❤
I always planned Nasturtiums I just loved their taste in a green salad 🥗 they’re eatable
Tipper the garden looks wonderful. I'm keeping Granny and Corie in my heart. I'm sure everything will continue to be wonderful. You and Matt will make fabulous grandparents I'm sure.
Thanks so much 😊
Gold dial soap ,shaved up and tied up in mesh bags, hung up thru the plants will keep the deer out.
Death anniversarys are so hard
Praying for you all .
Please tell granny she is always in my prayers also
Miss Cindy is always with you guys. She’s met Katie’s baby and will be there when Corie’s little boy is born. Most important, she lives pain free in heaven. We can thank God for all our blessings. Why he loves us imperfect creatures is beyond me, but he must see promise in us. We are so fortunate to have a loving Heavenly Father.
Once deer find a garden to graze in, they'll come back again and again. There are several CZcams videos that show you how to use fishing line to make a cheap fence that's invisible. Deer can't see it and when they bump into it, it spooks them away. I miss my garden now that we live in a condo. Adding parsnips and turnips to vegetable soup enriches to the flavor. Love y'all.
Thanks for the tour of the garden. Everything is looking great. Soon, you and Matt will be working like mad scientists gathering, enjoying and preserving all that wonderful food. I hope you can solve the deer problem. You live in such a beautiful, peaceful place.
I hope so too! Thank you 😊
The view that you love so much reminded me of Waltons Mountain! 😊😊
Love that!
We had our first corn last night for supper. We also had fresh squash, eggplants, and sliced tomatoes. All fresh from our garden. Yummy.
Enjoyed your garden tour!
Sounds great!
Seasons in life are like seasons in the garden. So seasons are beautiful, some are bountiful, but some are frustrating and difficult. I'm so glad you are in a beautiful place in life and the garden. Peace and blessings! 🙂🌽🍅🙏
God Bless Your family. Tipper, Matt , Katie, Ira,,Granny ,Corie, Austin and ready for their little one. Your friend from Ohio.
I loved gardening with my Daddy.
Not sure this will work for you. But we have a sprinkler that goes off when something crosses it's path. It's called a scarecrow. It has saved my garden. But you have so much space to cover it may not cover what you need. But it would certainly cover where they are coming in. We turn it on at night. But make sure you remember remember to turn it off in the morning or you will get a cold shower. I hope hope you check it out and see if it's workable for you
Ohhhh your garden is so beautiful and enchanting. Your grandsons are going to just adore playing out there. It is a blessed place for sure. So many miracles all contained in one area. So wish I could have a garden space, but just too much tree cover over here on my side of the mountain. Love you & yours Tipper. Hoping that other bundle of joy is here soon. 😊❤😊 oh I have so enjoyed all the sweet stories about Miss Cindy. 😊❤😊🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
❤️. Praying especially for Corie today, but keeping all your family in my prayers. Loved catching glimpses of Ira on Father’s Day, Austin is a wonderful uncle.❤️🙏
Austin is such a blessed addition to the Pressley and Wilson clans. Watching him holding Ira just warms my heart. He loves babies and will have his own son any day now. Life is truly good!
My brother-in-law always had a beautiful garden. My sister got hair clippings from her beautician. They filled the hair in some knee-hi hose and hung them in his garden. He heard that the deer would not come in the garden because the hair had the human scent.
I love listening to you talk. You remind me of my aunt pearl she was a native Arkansas. And she speaks like you do w that accent. It's so true ...and calming to listen too. So is Corey's voice I get soo much off her devotionals.
Wow, thank you
Thinking about Corie tonight. Praying all goes smoothly. Thank you for sharing all the pretty flowers. 💐
This is also first pregnancy. An im helping toraise it. I love thatpart. She reminds me of Katie
I look at your yard and garden and it is so abundant and beautiful. It looks so inviting and peaceful. This represents alot of work and love that you and Matt put into it. I know you will have a big harvest.
You have so much to be proud of! So many ways God has blessed your land. Thank you for sharing your blessings with us! Your garden brought a little peace to me. ❤
You have a beautiful and peaceful property! Loving your garden! Your family are always in my thoughts and prayers! May the Lord continue to bless y’all! 😀❤️🙏🏻
Thank you so much!
Tipper, you and Matt are proof that hard work brings reward! Your gardens are beautiful!! Enjoy your wonderful bounty!! Can't stop thinking about your sweet Cory and Katy and their precious babies. Prayers continue for them. 😊
Thank you, Tipper for sharing your beautiful garden with this city dweller!
We had to put netting over our blueberries. Otherwise , we would not have any.
Get some blink cameras , they can hook into house wifi and you can tie them up anyplace and when the deer walk in garden you can log on camera and yell at them to run off lol I have some out to yell at bears to "get ". I have 7 cameras on the farm set up to check on animals and run off animals not suppose to be here .
The corn is looking off the hook,,that means great 👍
Tipper, I just love, love, love these garden tours. Lots of good eating, for sure.
Old lace curtains on the blueberry bushes will work great ,my parents always used them and it kept the birds away. Love the videos and ur family . ❤️
Garden & Flowers are Growing & Looking Wonderful Tipper..❤Thank You for this Tour...Hate that the Deer got Corie's Beans..I'm Sure She is looking Towards Lil Man instead of Beans!! ❤GOD BLESS YOU ALL..
We are going to hit the hundreds in about 3 days. Gotta love Oklahoma summers. Garden is gorgeous.
I think that calls for one of Matt's deer roast. 😅
Fastest growing garden I have seen! Beautiful
Thank you 😊
Mullen is good for bladder,an lungs, over all great plant
Berries look lovely!
Love and hugs for your family for the anniversary of Miss Cindy’s passing. Prayers for Cory.
My first morning glory bloomed yesterday morning, I was so excited!
Hi Tipper!! we all love your enthusiasm and appreciation for your blessings … You must try the moon flower next year … just as the morning glory has the morning the moon flower has the evening … you would just fall in love again! ❤ Blessings to all !!
I'm sure you already know about putting epsonsalts on your tomatoes. I use a tablespoon on each one
Tipper, mulch all your tomatoes with Pine Straw! And never use chicken manure until it's sat a whole season. It's the hottest fertilizer out of 'em all. And it'll burn up your plants. Fertilizing tomatoes in hot weather can also cause trouble. Get Rose food. Weak solution poured about 6" from and around the base of the plant. And then give them a ground soak.
Your roses by the steps look really pretty!
Thank you 😊
Tipper there is a CZcams channel named Perma Pastures Farm and Billy and Michelle make what’s called Bone Sauce and it does work to keep the deer away. It’s a bit pricey but I wanted to let you know about it
Thank you!
Search for Sepp Holtzer bone sauce also. He is an amazing permaculturist who lives in the mountains.
Your garden is amazing 👏
Binks will love the heat in the pile and spying the bugs in it !❤
We put a handful of wholemilk powder in the hole when we plant our tomatoes , they don't mind if it's past the bb date so you can get a,deal sometimes.
We don't have deer, but we do have pesky blackbirds that just rip out whole new plants for fun !
Take care and thinking of Corey, I'm positive all will be well ❤
Beautiful foliage and great garden. It seems as though the plants produce overnight. It just amazing!❤️🙏🇨🇦
Beautiful garden yep deers love our garden to great video thanks for sharing 👍👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
I always love to help you celebrate Appalachia, tomorrow is my oldest son's birthday, maybe Corie will get her little one on his Birthday ❤🎉
I hope he has a great day!!
We used to have deer in the garden big time, till somebody told me to put a loosely-tied run of yellow caution tape around all the fence post tops around the garden. The deer used to jump the fence, but they never have since we put the caution tape along top of the fence. It waves a bit in the breeze, and they've never crossed it that we could tell. Kinda like you shiny streamers, I guess!
Love watching your garden grow.❤️ I can't believe it's been a year since I had the pleasure to meet you Tipper. Along with sweet Corie & Katie at the Knoxville book signing. I was impressed by how genuine, kind, and open you all were. You're the true spirit of Appalachian. Miss Cindy was still living at the time. So sorry & sad she has passed. May God's love & peace be with you, Matt & your precious family during this time of the year. 🙏🕊️ ❤️
Thank you! We enjoyed meeting you!!
Beautiful garden. Thanks for taking us along for a garden update. Now we need Corey to have her baby. Have a good evening. 🙂
Absolutely beautiful garden. My mom's fav flower was morning glories. She raved about that, her grandpa's gladiola's and how they smelled so good. ❤❤ And her mother's rose bush
I knew it! The watermelons do love that sandier soil in your downstairs garden. Yay!
That is a beautiful garden, lots of work but the harvest makes it worth it.
Love to see your hard work growing so beautifully. This time last year, I also was mourning the loss of my precious husband. Still am, but God has been with me. What would we do if He didn't love us so much. Praying for you all as you bless us with your faith and family love.
I’m so glad you’ve felt God’s comfort!!
Tipper, if you tap those tomato blooms where they attach to the stem, you will pollinate the plant, since the tomato bloom contains both sexes. I do this every time I pass my tomato plants, and this ensures an abundance of tomatoes.
Great tip!
Thanks for providing a little slice of heaven to all of us. 💐
Another blessing for you this year is having Matt working with you!!
It is such a blessing!! Thank you 😊
The reflection in the house you see shimmerimg....my aunt called them fairies. ❤ It sweet to think of it that way.
Love that!
The deer here in southern KY ate most of my white half runners! Love your videos. Life's a garden, dig it!
😊 thank you
Thank you for showing your garden. We don't have much planted, we haven't had muc in the way of a garden, but I've been getting tomatoes the last couple days, enjoying them. The watermelons are coming up. All the flowers are blooming. My Husband has my Crepe Myrtle's blooming like crazy, They are beautiful.
I love a cornfield too. I remember Grandaddy's corn fields...he really knew what he was doing.
Thanks for the tour of the gardens, and thank you for the prayers for my Daughter, and my Brother.
God Bless you, and your beautiful family. You all are a bright spot in my days.
The prettiest lady in Appalachia.
Thank you! I will continue to pray!!
Mrs Tipper, i just cannot waite to see you seated in the cornfield, dont forget to wear your best hat or bonnet, or may be borrow a head scarf from one of the girls. Oh and dont forget to carry your favorite book, and a pop sickle.🙏❤️🙂
Just had my very first Cherokee Purple tomato sandwich. Delish! I couldn't wait for the bacon. Just as well, I like them just tomato just as much. JUUUUUU--CEEEEEE! So good! It came from the local produce stand, but it had gotten missed on their vine and was so deeply ripe it split. So they couldn't sell it!!! Hehe! He GAVE it to me with the rest of my stuff, and said "better eat that one tonight"! So I followed orders, of course. Fresh loaf of bread and Dukes mayo.
Yay!
I always put a tum with calcium in each hole when I plant tomatoes.
Purselane is medicinal as well! I have to water my nasturtiums, I started in a pot with an ice cube! Here in Texas, trying to keep it alive on the patio. 😁
We just 4 yellow squash and 2 green zucchini the past 2 days. So excited. I live in an old historic neighborhood so no big plot of land but enough to have fresh vegetables for my family of 5.
Yay!
Tipper, your gardens are so beautiful and lush!! I love your morning glories and the blue ones are my favorite. When I went to the garden with my grandmother as a child I would love seeing them in the corn. Your corn is coming up great! Thank you for taking us along to see your garden. 😍
A very pretty color of morning glory. I purposely grow some just to enjoy.
If I could imagine the garden of eden it would look a lot like youregarding just breathtaking
The garden is so beautiful you and Matt have been working so hard you all have done a great job
Oh, I envy your fruit- blueberries, blackberries, and grapes! I live in a townhouse and don’t have a garden, but I love watching what you do.
Absolutely love y'all!! I know how they will take care of the deer 😂❤... Love and prayers from Georgia
Thank you!&
Keep your mullein plants!..spread the seeds you'll get in the areas where other things dont do well...they grow normally in areas where you would think nothing could live...at least up here in the Northeast! Dried finely chopped leaves make a lovely tasting tea! Great for LUNGS
I love all of your videos but this one is giving me such joy this morning!
I'm so glad!
Tipper, it's hard to believe your garden is already so lush. Doesn't seem that long since you and Matt got it all planted. I'm glad you're enjoying this growing season so much. And that Granny is doing so much better. ♥️
About the deer, I don't grow veggies, but in my tiny flower beds, both shiny things moving around and human hair scattered on the ground seemed to work. Also, if you haven't already, check with your Co Extension office for suggestions. Much love to all the family, prayers for all, and thank you for including us in your life.
Thank you!
I can really feel your enthusiasm about your garden. Makes me look at situations with a different perspective.
Garden looks great. Maybe you can figure something out to get the deer to leave.
Thanks for sharing!
Thanks so much!
Looks great Tipper! So glad to hear Granny’s doing so well. Praying for a fruitful harvest! God bless!
I like the stairs with blossoms on either side
Thank you 😊
Awww that Fleabane is so rustic and adorable, I love it! Oh, and the Purslane is so pretty too...I guess I just have an appreciation for weeds lol.
You always look so pretty in that aqua color, Tipper.
Oh thank you!
You’re inspiring me to try and grow some veggies.
😊
We have a little doe that we will ship to you all then you can have a deer family. Our neighbor lady started feeding it and it has decide to stay. Good luck with the deer we love them good fried with mustard and onion.
😊
