I left prime in November. Leasing with a company in Orlando. When I take off I don’t have to make a truck payment and can stay out for as long as I want.
@@GV-19871 do you get to keep the truck or have to clean it out?
@@thetexastrucker7934 You can keep the truck
Stay safe in your travels! Thanks for the video!
Having a lot of overhead puts you in a ball and change position, but I like the retirement in weeks at a time while you’re still young to enjoy it! I am 73 have more time and money now to do things, but wife not healthy and can’t do stuff anymore, hell getting old! Work on your overall expenses and enjoy your time more, like your videos, take care, I will talk to the Big Guy about it for you!
@@tidestacker4674 It is hard to balance that patience for what the future will bring and a good time right now. It is important to be honestly responsible. I know I wasted pretty much all of my 20s on instant gratification crap. So I try to be more weary of my decisions.
Getting old is the worst!!! Except for the part where you can actually afford to do stuff😜. And the fact you are too old to do the stuff you wanted to do by the time you are able to😩. Working on coming to terms with that😅… and staying childish 🙃.
Thank you so much for writing this🙏🏻. I’ll keep you both in my prayers as well😊.
That's why I don't run stupid singles on any of my equipment
Also when I worked at prime I never used the express bay nor the tractor shop for maintenance, only time I used the shop was for tires, I had many bad experiences at prime shops, I drove a 2023 Volvo so I always took it to the dealership for the pm’s and to thermo king for the apu, never had a problem and was always quicker than waiting for the tractor shop to have openings, not all prime “mechanics” are specialized like that, only truck u could have a little peace of mind with at the shop is the Freightliner but everything else take it to the dealership directly.
Which is why Freightliner is the way to go😉. I didn’t have to wait to get my PM stuff done. That was done at the express bay. It was the windshield, tire and DOT that I needed appts for. But still within reasonable time. In and out within 14 hrs.
@@Peruviantrucker well the Volvo dealership always took me quick and already knew me, I trust them more than I trust prime to work on a Volvo, when I had a Freightliner they caused more issues at the prime shop afterwards that’s how I started to not trust the shop, and one time I had my apu pm’s done and when I took it to thermo king they said whoever did the maintenance did a terrible job, so ever since I never took my truck to prime for any thing that was not tires!
Aww I was there! Would have loved to meet you!
🤘✌️🤙
😕😕… how long were you there for?
@@Peruviantrucker 4 days. You did the hardcore in and out tho! I took a couple nights in a cushy hotel 😁
Love the 12 seconds later shower 😂😂
Kool when you pull a new trailer stop and put the new tire on your tractor and the used one on tractor put on trailer like Lyle
You were just at driver lineup at the right time for a load west. Any time i go to them all they have are loads going east. Ive only picked up two loads going west. One to ochelata,ok and another to Sacramento. I did have a 1200 mile bt to Clearfield,ut for a new trailer.
Eeesh, that 1200 mile bt sounds rough! But I’ve deadheaded more😅. You’re right tho. Perfect timing. Las load I got out of the terminal went to MI.
@@Peruviantrucker what's ur longest dh?
this is why I love dual tires!
@@user-fl7pw3vl3t they both have their pros and cons. That is one of the pros for duals🤷🏻♂️🫠.
@@Peruviantruckerwhat are the cons for duals?
@@user-fl7pw3vl3t lower fuel economy, less of a contact patch. Also if the tire blows I personally think it is more likely to damage surrounding components.
Those prices are surprisingly reasonable
Sounds like you have all your "maintenanace" accounts set up quuite accurately. That's the way I had to run my budgets at the hotels, usually a bit more than yours - usually the annual amounts of $2 to $4 million - with monthly hlp (electric, water, sewer. gas) over $100,000.00.. Let's talk some $$$😀😀😀
Your in a industry that plans on paying you the driver as little as possible. Why would you be in a parternership / a lease/ with them ?
Dont stop.... You have 17 tires left. Keep on driving.....
You better recount, only 9 left they are all singles.
😂
Carson ca ur in my neighborhood
At least it is trailer. Don’t have to pay for trailer tires.😊 I know you need 2 drives.
Was that a recap that blew?
1425 on expenses
Are you leasing to own that truck. Or are you just renting it 🤔
Just a regular lease. Not Lease Purchase.
When you going to understand you are working for free. Get out of that lease for goodness sake.
I love how people say you are working for free. We put money in the bank weekly unless something like this happens. Hmmm their math is not mathin to put it in a way they can understand. 😅
