This why I’ve never even considered going lease. Been company for a year and a half averaging $1300-1500 a week. Im usually pre-planned and barely sit longer than a couple hours after dropping. No liabilities and a chill dispatch. Lease is a trap. Prime is going to take care of company drivers first.
When I was at Prime that's how much I paid my student and my check was like 4,000 in my bank account.... That's why I went lease... Even solo 2500 to 3500 a week....😂

Heading to turn my truck in tomorrow. Found a local fuel hauling job start next week. My dispatcher told me “we need help can’t lose a good driver” but when I was out 2 months at a time the money wasn’t adding up. I appreciate prime for giving me my start in the industry but I can’t drown tryna show my loyalty to a company

I quit, turned in my truck last week & just finished my first week at my new job. You not lying one bit about them loads. They’re playing with people’s livelihood over there.
I quit beginning of may and went local. I was lease driver for primes flatbed, and it was bad months it was to the point I was hauling it for free multiple weeks in a row. I’m hauling double flatbeds and taking home little over $1,000 a week. No stress of chasing money and I’m home in my own bed every night it’s been a lot more enjoyable since I’ve started local
1k a week for a Class A driver is alright man but look further. I'm local too. 5am to 3pm, no weekends. 1,650 a week hauling demolition with a tipper trailer. Drop and hook only at both ends. Look into it.
I’ve been local since I got my CDL I love being home with my wife and kids every night. To bag a good paying local job it just takes a couple years experience and your endorsements to roll in the dough and be home daily.

I work for swift and he’s telling the truth. I run local on a Walmart account and the loads are nun stop. 50 to 60 percent of it is drop and hook. On the dedicated account we slip seat so we’re never in the same truck. So you can be the best driver in the world and get stuck in a truck that BEAT to hell from a driver that just started and tore it up the day before. On this account they will run you as hard as you want the loads are definitely there on the dedicated side

Im a north east regional prime driver company average pay is 1500 week about once a month i might get a 1800 dollar check if i hit like 3k miles . Im not complaining trying to get 2 years of experience and find a local job paying the same thing frfr .

Attrition is how their rates will get better, the industry has too much capacity and everyone is getting underbid, even prime. They probably have number that upper management is comfortable with, that will keep trucks profitable and happy, it is evident that they have not reached that number as of yet. The lease model that they use and other use may be on their way out, they are waiting on the court cases to be settled.
Prime is getting ready to sell my dad and the owner of prime are real good friends

If you have a lot of bills or a spending problem, lease is a very bad option if the rates are bad. If rates are good, you're making money though. Really depends on the market.

They are being extremely shady now a days. Trying to get the drivers to stay so broke and desperate they are running the minimum of 1.02 a mile. How does that make since for some of these guys with a darn 1400 truck lease payments. That’s before fuel and add ons. I wish they actually cared for the drivers like they use to. Been here 7 years thankfully I lease purchased when it was affordable. Paid my truck off In May. I don’t get decent loads offered less I beg for it this place traveling a direction that sucks lol 😂

My first load out from the Springfield yard after tnt training was 71 miles and I had to eat 27 hours for an empty trailer then they tried to send me to Texas while o have a student in pa I'm supposed to be picking up who has been waiting 1 month for me.
I left prime 3 weeks ago. My dispatch was driving me crazy and trying to get me to drive over my HOS. Day after day. I got tired of the bullying and the way the company pressures drivers. The pay is never worth it. New truck or not.

@Black_579_ they preach it but then give you loads you can’t do legally and say our commitment is to the customer and the loads they give. I was a home daily driver and they’d run me where I wouldn’t be home. My dispatch said.. I’m the one who says if you get to go home every night it’s not up to you. Umm… then don’t offer a home daily position
The way they would have me run I was told to start my day using PC and end it using PC. Some days I’d be in the truck 16-18 hours. And they refused to reschedule loads I couldn’t do. One day I delivered a load after 3 hours of sleep and about 5 hours into my 10 cus they wouldn’t. I just went into violation so I’d avoid my dispatch harassing me
@@PrinceAli_40 guaranteed 1250, most weeks around 1400. On the weeks I’d gross close to 2k after taxes I was still only taking about 1500 or so. It’s not worth beating yourself to death on the road and running your clock out for maybe another 100 bucks
