@iNitra problem isn't what it's on. Smash bros has a bigger following. If every single smash bros player from Ultimate and Melee started playing Multiverse then smash bros wouldn't be as strong as it is. Yet Multiverse can have all that but no one really likes team play as much. You can make a fun game but then people will try and see how well it can be competitive. That is where some games die off. That nickelodeon game was popular but now how mant people really play it? Most people know about Smash bros because of who plays it. Those players made it the way it is now.
The most clever part is when rivals leaves and instead of saying "see you later" he flips the words nervously and says "you'll see later". That was actually genius.

All jokes aside, it amazes me how All Star Brawl still manages to push forward, even when the hype died. It's taken so many blows, yet it still gets stuff like voice acting, patches, new characters, and stages. Maybe one day it'll rise back up again.

It never really died, itâs just getting a full release in 2024. Which just makes it winning Best Fighting Game over KOF XV or DNF Duel even more infuriating.
I'm going to be honest I never heard of brawl out until this video
I used to play it but only because smash wasn't on the switch at the time. It was basically a smash clone but worse in basically every way. The gameplay wasn't nearly as good, way fewer modes, no important characters except I think Yooka Laylee got added at one point, no real reason to play it now.

My favorite thing about the game is the devs they are so responsive. For example people who enjoy the game told the devs about the janky hitboxes, so Tony in response stated that they would be overhauling their hitboxes.

The fact that Multiversus has cross-progression got me playing, I downloaded Brawlhalla on Xbox and when I saw I'd have to start again I just uninstalled it.

The potential roster for this game is so funny to think about. Not only could they get Drew Carrey from the Drew Carrey Show, but also Who's Line is It Anyways. Gorillaz is literally under their record label. There is literal anime that is still licensed by Warner Brothers. It is insane.
Tony has also said they are actively working hard to get anime representation into Multiversus. So not only possible, but the ball appears to be rolling! Start placing bets, I want my Jojo's.
I know it's gonna be fucking Jotaro, but I'll take it........I mean........I WANT something a bit more out there, but recognition is the name of the game, best I can hope for is Jolyne probably. 3:48 Actually competition improves quality. Not like Smash needs a quality update it's really good already but competition makes both sides try harder making the end product better to the consumer. So no it doesn't do more harm then good. But multi versus doesn't really compete with smash they aren't the same tier even so what I'm saying doesn't matter.
Not necessarily. Competition optimizes whatever is needed to win. If there are things that are more effective than quality in the competition, then quality will only be an afterthought.
That's why you end up with massive marketing campaigns, with a significant amount of money put into marketing compared to what was put into the product itself : making as many people aware that your product exists is often more effective than improving its quality.
Smash is unplayable on consoles that aren't Nintendo consoles multiversus is simply available on those console
@@zTonami Nintendo switch consoles are cheaper and more accessible than the current new gen consoles. Yes more consoles means more ways to access the game. However I believe smash bros only flops on a shit online experience and the free to play formula which isnât really a problem when what you getting from the base of smash ultimate is more than worth the standard price and the additional hype dlc fighters. Multiversus does indeed have potential tho.

Itâs right up there with Smash Bros. as one of my favorite platform fighters. Thereâs so much charm put into it, and itâs only in pre-season.
With Sakruai having already finished Ultimate and taking a much-needed break from game development, itâs time for a new platform fighter to take center stage.
Smash is going to keep going, if Sakurai won't keep at it Nintendo will give it to another producer. Smash is way too popular to just be dropped. And Smash Bros is way too refined at this point to have any competition at this point. Every other game just feels way too clunky at this point

@@EskChan19 Tbh even Ultimate feels clunky in comparison to other smash titles, i.e. melee. It somehow feels like the series has gotten less refined gameplay-wise since the release of melee. Ultimate feels like a refined Brawl, but I feel like the PFGC (platform fighter gaming community) is looking for a refined Melee. Call me crazy, but I think Rivals of Aether 2 has a strong chance of being just that
