    Hello stupid question. On the hammers to turn the water supply off, those little armatures that are facing the 12:00 position do I just pull them towards me about an inch? Mine are 3 years old and kind of tight when I try and pull them towards me I just don't want to break anything if that's the wrong direction or that's not the right thing to do turning off the water.

      Yes, moving the levers forward will turn off the water.

      @@SiouxChiefPRO How far forward should they be turned? And related question, how far backward should they be turned to fully open the valve? None of the documentation shows what position it should be for "full on" vs "full off" and I hit a lot of resistance at odd angles (not aligning with 90 degrees in any direction)

      Common question with these valves. Great product, but a simple illustration sticker would solve this

    Do water arrestors go bad? Mine is just dripping water even when the valve is open. Can low pressure in the system cause the arrester to block the water supply?

    Bought Ox Box Washing Machine Box that was labeled 1/2” F1807 PEX Connection with MinuRester. They don’t fit 1/2” or 3/4 PEX. Too big for 1/2”, too small for 3/4. Was it packaged wrong? Have all installed but PEX lines and not putting me behind schedule? What am I missing here? Amy help is appreciated.

      Sorry for the delayed response. You may have received F1960 instead of F1807. Were you able to get it fixed?

    You forgot to show us instructions on how to remove that Test Cap for the drain hose. I can not pop it off or twist it without thinking it'll break, even though it says (Test cap removes easily in one piece) well it doesn't. It also didn't come with instructions.

    • @SiouxChiefPRO
      @SiouxChiefPRO  Před rokem

      Sorry for the late reply. The box must be installed to the stud or between, with DWV pipe glued to drain box. Then, use a pair of channel lock to squeeze/pinch nipple and roll the cap out by twisting channel locks away from nipple, while pinching it. You can see this in our brochure on page 9 www.siouxchief.com/docs/default-source/print/print-brochures/supply/outlet-boxes---oxbox---brochure.pdf?sfvrsn=25533f37_10

      @@SiouxChiefPROthe fact that you have to give video links for this speaks to how much your company relies of interns/amateurs for your design work. Do better.

    My contractor installed one of those white boxes with a white plastic nipple in the bottom. Am I supposed to connect my drain to that somehow or what's it for?

      Yes, remove the test plug in the bottom and insert your drain hose to drain the water.

      Don't worry about breaking it. The plastic is strong and can take the abuse in all areas besides where it's meant to come out.

    • @SiouxChiefPRO
      @SiouxChiefPRO  Před 3 lety +1

      We understand your frustration with the middle bracket and we are working on a different design. In the interim if you would like a different bracket you can try our 525 series galvanized flat bracket. We always value constructive feedback as that is what drives us to improve our products.

      I've used flimsy supply boxes from Eastman, SharkBite, Oatey, etc. I'm so glad I learned about the Ox Box line, they're great for DIYers and professional installers. These are sturdy, rigid and I love the center bracket design.
