Etton is a small village in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England, located around 4 miles from the market town of Beverley.
Etton is significant as the 1584 birthplace of Rev John Lothropp, founder of Barnstable, Massachusetts, and was home to Thomas Carling, who emigrated from Etton to Canada in 1818, used 'a recipe from his native Yorkshire' to found the Carling Brewery in 1840.
The parish church of St Mary is a Grade II listed building founded in around 1300 AD.

Jamie yet another beautiful village called Etton just could not believe how curious those two sheep were l bet you was smiling 😊 to yourself the way they looked at you just can't believe on how many St Mary's churches there are with the one here on your walk then one in Elloughton to wonder how many more there are Etton is a well kept village so very peaceful on a lovely Sunny day what a lovely walk way to the church which so well kept l am so surprised that the church was locked what ashame you didn't get inside thought it would have been open at the time you did this walk how come you get nice sunny days but at the moment its cloudy and cool just wish it would be more ☀️ the pond looked a bit low needs more water in the pond has the duck was wading in the mud the memorial looked so lovely and well kept what a racket that motorbike was he broke the silence the lamp posts looked very old they looked like old gas lamps loved the way the horses came to you so you could feed them Jamie what can l say amazing has always with all your lovely walks
