🎥 Lens for "talking to the camera" (great bokeh): amzn.to/2MtgAWQ
💡 Powerful Light (helps video quality): amzn.to/2QOTFcw

🔵 Tripod for camera: amzn.to/2U1O8Ri
🔵 Light Stand: amzn.to/3aawnoM
This light stand is kinda not sturdy enough because the light and soft box are so large; the whole thing can tip over easily. But it's what I use! 😆 Or you can perhaps find another light stand that is rated to hold more weight. Or just put something heavy (like sandbags) onto the bottom to lower the center of gravity.

He said "Piranha" in spanish
deaddevils2 Yes, and the “r” sound in piraña in Spanish is a tapped r (aka flap r), which is why it sounded like “pidaña” to an English speaker.
Hey Jason still dont understand how he got tellers suit... cuz the cards were already on the table so if teller had picked a different suit what wud have happened?
@@drewmiller335 I think an English speaker should try reading 'piraña' as 'peer unyaw' (I tested using google's text 2 speech, which was fun)
Awesome video yet again sir! One thing Ive wanted to ask is: that since you can edit your face video onto the larger video... Why do you always shift to your left when going back to the main performance? Is it easier to edit that way or is it merely a visual thing you use to make it look like youre shifting our focus?
I don't think people give you enough credit for your dead pan, dry, self deprecating humor, which I very much appreciate.
Love his humor! But I do know what you mean.
Jason geeks me out XD
For what it's worth, I was fortunate to watch a taping of this last season of Fool Us with my niece.
A few things I can confirm having watched it live:
1. No stooges. In some cases (and in an upcoming episode as I have not seen it on any of the episodes so far) if you see volunteers already on the stage, one of the producers chooses who goes up. No trap doors on the floor either. The setup is as advertised.
2. Penn and Teller get a lot more time to figure out the trick. Probably about 10 minutes or so? They obviously cut it down so the show flows better on television.
3. Much of the show is shot out of order and with multiple takes EXCEPT the magic acts. Once the magician is on, all cameras are pointed at them. They'll then get audience reactions later as there didn't appear to be any free cameras to get reactions live as they're all trained on the magician.
4. There was a comedian whose job it was to keep the audience hyped during tear downs and set ups which can take a while sometimes. The guy that was on when we were there is an unsung hero of entertainment. I doubt you'll ever see him on the show but he was really charming, funny, and is likely the reason most of the audience didn't leave early during particularly long setups.
5. There were certain tricks where I could see the magician flash something from where I was sitting that Penn & Teller likely didn't see from their angle. Having seen episodes after watching it live, I suspect some cuts that hide moves are possibly there to simulate P&T's experience and not necessarily the audience. In other words, if Penn or Teller caught something, it likely wouldn't be edited around. If they didn't see something, they'll choose appropriate angles. I don't know this for a fact but it's something I noticed later on.
6. There's a large screen to the side of the stage. When there's certain angles on the show that give a top down or close-up perspective of the performance, that angle is shown on the large screen that everyone in the audience can see.
7. As far as I could tell, everything is absolutely fair. The performers only do the trick once and P&T are either fooled or they aren't.
8. The crew is extremely diligent and watching how well they work behind the scenes is almost as amazing to watch as the show itself. P&T along with who I assume must have been the director are constantly appreciative of their crew. This doesn't have much to do with the show but it's nice to see a workplace where the employees seem to be treated with respect and often with reverence.
That is really great inside info. I am so glad to hear good things.
Thank you for this 🙂
He's one of those magicians that makes the entire act seem chaotic, but is completely composed and organized in their order of operations. He does this very well.
Whenever Penn leaves things ambiguous and just says "I don't THINK you fooled us" but doesn't explain or drop any code, I'm assuming they're relying on their hidden discussions which the producer can hear. And from what we've seen, they cut a lot of that for TV while Alyson asks questions we don't even see as well. I presume Alyson would jump in with a "can you clarify" with a prompt in her ear if they didn't get the method in their deliberation.
Teller actually talked at the end of this episode in his and Penn's end piece. It was quite amazing haha
That explains the title of the episode.
That explains the title of the episode.
That was a stunning performance by Inaki.
The moral of the story at the end: what goes around comes around.
he said "piraña", it's a fish :)
Anytime you take the magic OUT of the MAGICIAN's hands and put it into the MARK's hands, its always more AMAZING!!! This is very good!! The ending was especially smart and magical, since he had "no idea" what suit, TELLER had chosen. I really like it.
His Penguin Live Act is top notch ! Highly recommanded
10:31
I think he said "piranhas"
He is saying piranha. The kid bit his ankle like a biting fish.
...ankle biters...
@alphadawn2015 lennon He did, afterwards.
He said "Who's the mother of this Hannibal Lecter"
Pedanía means either lower as an adjective, like ciudad pedanía (lower city or district); or as a colloquial word for elementary aged girls (pedanío for boys)
I believe he said Piranhas( the ravenous 🐟 fish) he said that when the group of kids came to him and took his props then the other story about the bitting kid he refers to the main character of the movie: Silence of the Lambs , Dr. Lecter.
@@abc24601 You are right, I rewatch that section and that's was the comment.
Beautiful performance.
As a beginner magician I have no idea how he did the 4 aces, very visual, loved it
That was an amazing performance. Your take on all of this is really great. Love your channel.
I'm not the biggest fan of card tricks, but that performance was actually really good and pretty amazing.
Nice reaction!!!
Great performance from Inaki Zabaleta. 👏👏👏👏👏
Aesop: Always return a compliment
One could say this trick is not just out of this world, but out of this galaxy
Not gonna lie my friend I now watch more pen. And teller on your channel then on their clips. Keep it up !
Thanks, will do!
I’m sure they appreciate that
Jason Parker maybe suggest people watch the full version on p&t channel as well so it’s not like you’re trying to take views from them
Yeah I understand more cos Jason help's understand better
Same!!!!!!!
Nice performance by Inaki. And the story of the fox and the stork, I had heard that many many years ago. Memories flooded back. Thank you for the video Jason.
Glad you enjoyed it!
I think the code word was ‘cutting’ edge. You could even see him look at the face of the cards before he did the cut that Penn and Teller used to pick the 12 spades. I agree that the power of this trick is his fast talking and keeping everyone on their toes for the next move.
oooh! good call! I totally missed understanding that as the code word 😆
He does it so well ...
My brain hurt after watching him performing🤣
MY Favorite way to watch:
Step 1 look for a jason review.
Step 2 Find and watch the original... being a muggle im always fooled so i pause just before pen and tellers sum up.
Step 3 rewatch the show looking for hints and enjoying to Jason's comments and reactions..
I think by saying the really tall guy was next to you meant everyone knows that a couple or just one move was extremely hard to pass from that angle and he didn’t quite get it and he knows exactly what he was saying
Im from phillipines and i really enjoy ur channel and reaction makes it more interesting to watch penn n teller show...luv it keep it up more power to your channel...tnx
"Piraña" is a carnivor type or fish which live in South America. I think in English it's spelled piranha, just he pronounced the word as it's pronounced in Spanish and Portuguese.
As for Iñaki's performance he really fooled me...bad!
Thanks Jason for your magic shows, I love them. In this one, as you hinted Penn and Teller probably were fooled. I saw few of those were I believe they were fooled but still they refuse to admit it.
That last bit as they all turned to hearts was amazing. Did he just get lucky? wow, really cool.
Thanks, I appreciate the positive, clean, light spirit in your video, have a nice day.
Good close-up performer
If i'm not wrong he's the very first magician from my homeland to go to Fool Us. Love it!
soulution to spades trick is he loaded all the spades under the 4 aces as he holds them face up. When he joined the 4 aces face up with the upside down cards , he slid them from under the aces to under the upside down cards in the other hand. he's actually holding 26 cards when he is turning them over and showing them.
I think Allison Hannigan deserves the fool us trophy. Lol it was a great trick.
Love the fables as well as the dead, dry humor ha! Love it Jason!
That was some amazing magic. Fooled me!
Aesop: turn about is fair play. wa wa wah
I felt like things happened, something wasn't right, magic tricks were done, I noticed it, but nothing beyond that. You could say I am suspicious and I wouldn't trust him in a game of chance, but nothing beyond that. I don't know how he did the magic, but I feel like he stayed within the boundaries of what is possible in the universe.
I was learning in google classroom, but notifications from u and I jumped right into this vid 😝
There are some channels where you want to be enthralled and enraptured ... this is one of the rare ones.
Aesop: Any guest must always be made to feel _at home_ you never know when you might be in their shoes
Aesop: Feed a stork well you never know she might need the energy to deliver your children
I like the concept of phoenix. That's really insightful!
After met at first I didn't stay to the end till listen to the little stories but then by the fourth video I watched I said why not I'm really glad I did!!!
MAGIC!! “Mimics explosion”
Btw Jason i love your videos’
Very good code talk!
Wonderful act
Top 5 act, for sure. Truly enjoyable!
I enjoy a lot Jason's reactions, despite I am not too interested on magic.
PD: I think it could be difficult for some american people to pronounce Ñ, but Alisson did it so well at 2:06, although not so good the pronunciation of Z.
PD2: I challenge Jason to pronounce Iñaki Zabaletta, correctly (0:19)
Nice job, Jason. You will have 100000 subs soon
It was very slick.
Fantastic congrat
Your magic very nice
I had to subscribe to you because you’re such class and funny but most importantly your review of Mr. Farquhar, then his review of you, then your review of that and it continues. Hilarious.
Another great video jason!
You should make a tutorial on that firat move you do in the intro (dribble), and.that move where your dealing the cards and it jumps back.
Anyway, cant wait until the next upload
On it! and thanks! :)
Hi Jason I just wanna say that I really enjoy your videos and I think you are so cool and a fun guy to hang out with, keep up the good work, love from Iraq 👌🏻👌🏻👍🏻👍🏻🔥🔥
AESOP : in polite society don't eat your dinner guests
the four aces were never in the deck for any of them to choose from...it was tucked further in his left palm so when they pull cards they would never pull it. when he ended with 4 cards, the 4 aces were still under those. which is why he didn't just turn them over when the 4 cards were fanned out, but rather, tucked them in a stack, turned them around, then fanned again.
Maybe the 4 aces were always under "other" cards and he moved them under "different" cards when the "other" cards were picked.
Piraña is a carnivorous fish from the amazonian region haha 😁
Aesop: In polite society old battles are kept out of mind during sustenance
Aesop: Always make your dinner guests comfortable if you want them to reciprocate
Came from Shawn's reaction of your reaction reacting to him reacting to you reacting to him on Fool Us. He mentioned the Aesop's fable, and that's literally all I came for and all I watched. I enjoyed hearing it and your analysis. I think maybe, when the stork invited the fox, the stork served the dish cold. Because, revenge is a dish best served cold. Though, perhaps the fable to a degree is just reflecting on the pettiness of people. Take the higher road, don't be the stork. The fox was oblivious, but the stork made a choice.
I liked this vid, thanks. I’m a new subscriber and I watched your riffle shuffle video to learn - I was hopeless before, but now I’m slightly-less-hopeless!
Glad it helped! and thanks for the subscribe! :)
You are very likeable and I think you shouldn’t doubt your commentary. 👋 Kind regards, from the Netherlands
Thank you! 😃
I'm bamboozled.. but watching you be fooled as well makes it seem like I'm not as stupid as it seems
2:57 - Alyson is really strong for being able to hold are those cars *wink*
A magician from south´s Venezuela.
Subscribed!
Lol the legend of Jason and the pidaña.
1:30 - That lady ain't havin' any of your crap.
At 8:36... I like how you paused the video and there was a brief beat where you had a "thought" moment where your "mental CPU" was paused as well before you started talking... Like i could feel you thinking "WTF just happened" lol
He meant a piranha fish as these eat flesh, but yes, it was an awesome performance.
Hmm, I actually knew that fable from childhood, didn't know it's Aesop's.
The moral seems pretty straightforward, if you do inconsiderate things to others, don't be surprised when you are treated the same. Don't think only about yourself and be considerate to one another.
Smashed like, just because.
Hey Jason. Can you please tell me which video editor and screen recorder you use for your videos.
I hit like and you looked straight at me... how’d you know? Coincidence? I think not.
Wizardry
Jason, he said “like little pirañas” (piranhas), not a bad word.....👍. Keep up the good work.
Iñaki is one of the best magicians of Argentina. He is also very complete, he makes near magic, stage magic, metalism, and magic for kids.
And he said piranha. Of course that was a joke.
Im just 5 mins in,after your rewatch... Do you think hes culling the cards? I also noticed how his back was turned toward P&T as a good angle for him to hide the cull... Of one(s) were done...
The fable: what goes around comes around.
VAMOOOS ARGENTINA PAPÁ, INFLACIÓN QUIEN TE CONOCE
Nice reaction dude, greetings from Argentina, the largest cuarentine ever..
I think the best interpretation of this fable is form follows function.
It reminds me of how Darwin predicted the existence of a species of moth with a long "tongue" because there was a flower that was really long and thin.
Wonder how long Allison had to practice saying this guys name. 😂
His name is "Iñaki" (you can kinda see the "ñ" @ 0:33)
I think Penn and Teller want to find as much of the innovative magic tricks they have not seen and then try to figure it out later. That's the risk magicians take going onto their show.
7:59
if you look closely, sneaky teller is putting 5 cards in the last pack.
He hides it with the card popping.
He picks one card three times, then a double pick.
I wonder if that’s a method to learn how the trick is made (he knows now when was the switch), or did he just try to sabotage...
Hey jason. He said piraña. Which means piranha. A carnivorous fish found in the amazons
The word was "piraña",that's a river fish that bites. Pirahna
When will you go on the show, i'd like to see you there
Piraña is piranha in Spanish, hence the biting and the story of being swarmed by the kids like little pirañas.
It's piranhas :) On a side note: have you ever heard of the Fable of the Cricket and the Octopus in Futurama?
Allison. Isn't she the partner of Jim in American pie?? "One day at band camp..."
KELLLY
You were trying to say about stalking yeah of course but how he switch them with the table cards??
I don't always understand all of Penn's codes, but sometimes I get some of them. By 'cutting edge' was he implying that the magician was using a cut deck?
Ha ha... Neither Jason nor Penn said anything that made me understand an iota of how he did the trick..
Nice performance...
You should check out the Ryan Hayashi Fool Us performance. I think it is the best one done on the show. Great showmanship
Jason, I'm surprised really the very last thing u didn't even react
Aesop: In social graces score some Aces
Only have had time to watch the first part of the trick. Alison clearly never had a chance to pick those aces. Maybe he had them further back and was able to grab them so they would not pull out with the rest of the card picks. But the part I noticed is the spread at the end. I am 99% sure there were not 4 cards at the end. If you notice he squares up the deck. If only 4 aces left just turn them over for all to see and put them on the table spread out. He was able to use his fingers to spread the cards out and show the cards he wanted to show with the other cards hidden behind the As. Pretty darn good as one slip and all is revealed.
OK watched the rest and frankly not 100% sure becauase if he is doing what I think he is doing he is DAMN Good. Here is what I know I saw red cards from when both Penn and Teller were picking the cards to go on the table. So they could have easily chose the red cards I saw, which means the cards on the table are definitely not all spades. But then he brings over the 4 aces and that is when I think he loads the spades IMHO to the bottom of the deck, which is why he can just pick from the bottom of the deck and easily just throw those spades on the table. But that means on the top of the deck is unknown cards. So he then squares up the deck and turns them around putting the unknown cards on the bottom. Then once again he fans the cards to show what he wants shown, which means there are cards behind that 2 of Spades. And explains why those cards are never put on the table but tightly held in his hands. Man if I am right just one slip and all is revealed.
Jason, do you live in Ukraine? How about a video on that; everything from how did you end up in Ukraine, make a living in Ukraine (surely not doing street magic) to showing some of Ukrainians historic sites.
Smashed like, cuz I do.
Be careful to smash it gracefully so not to damage your phone/equipment
That guy was really smooth. Completely fooled me. Fable: proves that the Platinum Rule is better than the Golden Rule. Golden Rule = Do unto others as you would have them do unto you; Platinum Rule = Do unto others as they would want themselves done unto.
Ok Jason...a few of us have noticed that you are in decent...ok ok...very good shape. I know this isn't related to magic but it is related to you. What did you do to get into the shape you are in and what do you to maintain it? Thank you in advance for sharing!
Cher says”if something will matter in 5 yrs ok, if it won’t matter, it doesn’t matter”
Anyway
Thank you Jason
I love your video
They've been fooled with less ...
