Great video. I did a video “Volvo D13 EGR repair”. In it I break down the entire egr and rebuild it. The oil lines cool the egr. As you will see they do not lubricate the egr. For less than $20 a lubrication port can be added to the egr valve and eliminate the problem of it failing.

I did it the same way on my D13. Used Zeroflo liquid cleaner 928 and the flushed with garden hose. It came clean like new. Not trying to knock down your method but by using water you will not cause air borne particulate which is extremely dangerous for your lungs. Just a thought...

fill with gasoline and move the filter some hours, drain and repit.

Found a 2007 (w/2006 engine) D12 just over a million miles. Going to pick it up this week, was thinking about taking the egr off to clean it by hand once I get it home.

I cleaned mine on truck using SUPER CLEAN try it. it melts soot in minutes then just rinse with garden hose.
By on the truck, do you mean you didn't remove the bolts? How did you flush it while on the truck?

What's the purpose of the darn thing to begin with to clean air and look at all these left overs back to the enviroment,all the unnecessary so called emission stuff is just a gimmick to make money .

It's purpose is not to clean air, it's purpose is to cool down exhaust Temps so the engine can have a cooler combustion
To clean up sood use mix of 10:1 hot water nad dish wascher tablets.
No egr cleaner spray needed.
Soup for 30mins with schaking from Time to Time.
You will see a difrends

Can you please let me know how to manually check for properly functioning egr valve? I used ptt and activated egr valve while truck is running and turbo speed drops to 14000 rpm when egr is at 95%. I gives me code p040100

@@valeriumoscalu7580 l-am dus la curaratat de mai multe ori un shop may mic aci in Ontario fara sa-l dea jos , dechide both ends , presure test first for leaks, si a adaptat un rubber boot prins cu clampe cu furtune la amindoua capetele pe care il conecteaza la un car power washer. In rezervorul de la washer baga "super clean" sau "purple power degreeser" circula cu presiune lichidul vreo 20 min dupa care il flash cu apa .trebuie limpezit bine ca daca intra degreeser in motor descompune chimic uleiul, isi pierde proprietatile de lubrefiere. chargeaza vreo 350 $

@@valeriumoscalu7580 I thought close egr was similar to when people delete, they block it off so it's closed and the exhaust does not recirculate, which would increase power?

Well I would think if both ends disconnected than you want have to but than you got to cover half of engine cause that dirt ... or I saw a video were they use pump and bucket in order for cleaner to circulate for hours that flash it with water if I'm not mistaken.
Ps don't take my word on it I never actually done it. Just a thought
