I laughed WAY to hard at Jacob being killed, I never thought about how you could straight up shoot him down in that scene 😭
lmao Jacob is probably the dumbest character out of them all, so I was rooting for him to survive til the end but him dying is still too funny.
I expected it. I hadn't seen anybody actually take the shot before this (I've watched several people's videos playing through this) but it just felt obvious that this had to be a possibility there.
I still wonder about a possibility with Dylan though. Thought that if anybody would do it Kevin would be the one to test if while using the shotgun to take off Dylan's hand if the game would let you aim poorly and just kill Dylan there. (Most videos that I've seen use the chainsaw but one person did use the shotgun and of course it gave them control to aim just like other shotgun moments throughout the game. They just did what they were supposed to and aimed at his wrist though.) Instead Kevin just refused to shoot... which is actually also something that I haven't seen anybody else do so it'll be interesting to see how that plays out anyway.
I was also anticipating seeing Kevin try to blast Nick in the face, but the QTE fails meant that he didn't get the same opportunity that everybody else has gotten. They all see that part but nobody dares try to fire too close to Nick.

Wait ppl are actually debating if it's good or not? Besides the ending being a bit rushed it's pretty good actually. I hate how it's become the norm that everything has to be perfect or it's instantly considered trash... Take morbius for example. Decent enough C-class movie nowhere near the amount of hate it got was deserved, sure it's not a great movie but it's okay. It's watchable, it's not like the fever dream of Cats 2019...

I didn’t even know it was possible to kill Jacob that early….Kevin never fails to surprise me
He can even die super early like chapter 3 (which I think is the second time you play as him) if you took the rotar, you can dive in, keep grabinh the rotar arm and not picking choices and he drowns.

@@avryantoinette She goes to the island as he dives in, so she never gets to see that he never comes back up. Most of Jacob's deaths are kind of separated solo incidents so, kinda in a sad twist, most of his deaths never get discovered by the group.

Indeed - Jacob and Nick are characters that can be killed by one of the other characters, not the actual werewolves.

@@hareharekrishna1 You can also make him drown himself if you do the steal the rotor arm path, drop the rotor arm in the lake and fail all of the QTE's trying to get it back.
I got Abigail and Jacob killed both accidentally. I didn't think Abigail would drop the gun and could still get a shot on Nick and didn't want to shoot him until he made a move.
I screwed up the first opening the main door and then the door to the werewolf so Jacob died when the power got turned off at the house. I did not shed a tear for Jacob since this was all his fault and am glad he was aware of the consequences of his actions.

I was hoping there would be a sequel to the last Quarry video, wasn't expecting to be blessed with the otamatone screech though. See, the shopping stream *did* yield something useful after all.
This video proves Kevin is a firearms genius, as he always obeys the golden rules of guns: aim them at everyone you care about and if you don't know what you're shooting at, assume it's trying to hurt you.
“I don’t want to get my fingerprints on him after shooting him” somehow, I feel like Kev is speaking from experience...
As much as this made me laugh, I WAS hurting inside whenever Ryan & Dylan were fighting over the gun.
(Which made it even more hilarious when in the very next scene Dylan was still crushing hard. Oh, my boy.)
I don't even know why the game let there be a "choice" over the gun when Kaitlyn loses it immediately. Should have just let there be an option of letting the boys have two.
In Kevin's playthrough Dylan and Ryan are somehow the world's scariest couple

He actually seems to be the only sensible one on this group thats almost entirely composed of total idiots. Its just that he covers it well by saying really dumb stuff whenever hes not being sensible. Basically what Kevin would be in this situation.
I just finished Jack's play through the other day, and as chaotic as he is, Kevin is the true chaos king

Ironically, making bad decisions is the best decision when it comes to our entertainment. At least, when Kevin's making the bad decisions.
"Puberty hit this kid like a truck" was a great line. Dylan really does remind me of Kevin in this.

Even though it looks like the bad option was to shoot nick, Kevin is so good he knew it was the good one.

I was surprised too but then again, he didn't know what the next steps would be. Shame that he didn't get to see the option to use the gun for amputation! It will be interesting to see when Dylan turns though.
Spoilers, just in case you haven’t seen the entire game
1. Kevin probably views Bobby and the other Hacketts as the bad guys (they aren’t really, but they become villains when Laura shoots Constance, or spit in her face), so he doesn’t want to kill the “villains.”
2. He’s probably guessing that getting bit turns you into one of the werewolves. I’m sure you can get Dylan killed at the scrapyard even when he’s infected.
whenever a new game like this comes out first i watch jack play it so i can at least see some good choices being made and then i watch kevin fuck it all up. perfectly balanced as all things should be

I love how Emma predicts what’s behind the trapdoor and then immediately gets mauled when she opens it.
Please continue this series, it would be so interesting to see how the game plays out when you pick the most reckless options all the way until the end. Also the running gag about Ryan being obsessed with bushes is fucking gold, I laugh every time.

I love how these bonkers choices just make you FLY through the game. Back story? Nah. Context? Absolutely not. Relationship building? Never.

Also by FAR the most logical and responsible character in this game is London Tipton! She deserves to be the final girl

Whenever I see another one of those 'your choices matter' games come out I always think of Kevin chaotically making the worst decisions and am certain that, should I ever be able to buy any of them, I would 100% do the same because it's infinitely more funny than doing it the right way
It's cool that this game sort of encourages a "maoe bad decisions" play style, since I've never seen some of the outcomes shown before. It's nice that the developers actually let mistakes and poor choices have longer effects, even if it is just "X character dies"
There's a game on Steam that would be perfect for Kevin called "House Cleaning Survival". Barely any players so it's one of those lesser known games with bad reviews. Plus, there's more than you'd expect...

I saw someone in the comments under some video or another claiming that the writers / developers didn't actually expect anybody to take that shot. But yeah, in actual practice Kevin is the only one I've seen not take the shot.

I have to say, this is very different from RT's stream where he did everything he could to save the teens, even as they joined forces to annoy him to death. Kevin's just trying to kill everyone!
It’s honestly kind of cool to see what happens when choosing most of the options others likely wouldn’t. Unfortunate for the characters, sure, but that’s part of what makes these choice games so interesting. Definitely looking forward to the next episode!

I've seen a few playthroughs of this already and yet I find myself super excited for Kevin's. There's so much chaos, I love it.
The Raimi siblings are actually my second cousins once removed, and not only is it fun seeing Ted in the quarry to begin with, but it's also really fun to see really good creators like you playing it through and interacting with him. This is such a Classic Kevin video. A rampage of bears appears, not due to any action on Kevin's part, but absolutely just brought about due to his and his character's sheer vibe... an ursine manifestation of "what could possibly go wrong?" and "and then, it somehow got worse!" in the same package. Magnificent.
Both of them were wrong actually, it's not a swarm or herd, it's a "sleuth" of bears

3:04 For a game that does such a good job at accurately portraying taking birdshot to the face, it sure seems to ignore that being fired at from what, three feet away would absolutely kill you.
Once they're infected, they become nearly impossible to kill. They also recover quickly from their injuries. This is shown when Nick seems completely fine by the time they get back to the lodge. Since Jacob never got infected, he was easily killed by the shotgun.
minor spoilers: it's because Jacob is infected. The infected have supernatural healing, and can basically only be killed with silver.
Ah yes, the averagely cursed but yet satisfying gameplay by someone that loves to make friends.
kev's commentary on these quarry videos have been so superb that I was honestly thinking- man he should start a podcast where he just commentates along to random movies, but it's a shame he's only ever watched the wizard of oz- AND then kev fecking mentions the wicked witch 😂😂😂 I can't stop laughing help
