RANE FOUR IS THE FADERS GOOD?

After I had some dropouts on my privous Rane Four I received a new unit from Rane (inMusic). This new unit faders seem to respond perfect with no issues. Thank You Rane!!

I have a 6 month old unit. 2 channel faders unreliable, low volume towards the top of travel. Yesterday the cross fader just randomly stopped working, leaving all 4 channels open. No warnings, no plopping, crackling, absolutely zero sign of an issue and then nothing....
