I might be alone here but this is fun! I love watching this! I think no one has found it yet! I’ll work on that.

      You are not alone.

@thelawchronicles I would love it if you can obtain some more recent proceedings (from this county or another county). On some of the later videos they seem to be talking about keeping some Hearings remote indefinitely....

My fav was the guy on his phone while driving in front of the judge! Hold him in contempt! Wait can a judge do that? That would have been awesome! Well for me anyway. Lol

Judges seem to get away with that kind of stuff all the time. The people allow them to and almost encourage it.

@jamiedbg51 Judges CAN hold people in contempt, but keep in mind this is zoom traffic Court. A contempt proceeding requires physically sending out an officer to their home to retrieve and jail them. It's not like a real courtroom where the Bailliff can just take them right there. Plus it's the middle of the pandemic as of the time of this video and it adds a misdemeanor case to the docket which is a lot more work for the state considering it started as a simple traffic case.
It's best to just ask people to stop the behavior, maybe throw them in the waiting room as a timeout for a bit, and if that doesn't work, kick them out of the call and continue their case to another date if unresolved. A contempt proceeding is a huge escalation of the situation that's more trouble than it's worth in this situation.
