    Damn dude, this went from "I don't like the wheels" to a cut and shut on the entire suspension. Really impressive.

      Yeah...welcome to my channel. Lol
      I get into a rabbit hole and stuff starts to go crazy fast. The rear suspension will also get a custom touch.

    Better late than never! I got about a week behind on video uploads, but I should be back on track now. Don't forget to subscribe and not miss an episode of the Datsun. I PROMISE you will be blown away by the end of the build!

    Nice work on the suspension swap! I have to be reminded to wear my work gloves, too.. 👍Tony B

      My problem is that I work between my two shops, and sometimes I leave certain gear at "the other shop" so I just do dumb stuff like in the video. Someday I'll buy doubles of everything I really need.

    ok.. so here is something I did on my 620s.. maybe you may like. people like to shave the side marker lights. however I discovered they have a ridge line that matches the hole in the body panel. of you pull them off you could move them to the inside of the fender and flush mount them. clean look with oem parts. on the bed you have to tweak a bed beam to make it work but not hard to do. enjoying this series. making me want to get another 620. lol its been 29 years since i played with one.lol

      Thanks for checking out my 620! I will be doing some subtle body mods and might mess with the marker lights a little. However, you will come to find out that I always do things a little different, to say the least. If I mod them, I will either 3d print new flush lenses or cast them in epoxy. That way, I can add a logo or design on the lens also.

    You could probably increase your caster by putting those washers both on one side

    • @tinygaragefab
      @tinygaragefab  Před rokem

      That's actually a pretty good idea. I'll definitely look into the pros/cons of doing that. Thanks!

      @@tinygaragefab there's another video floating around yt where a guy bought an extra set of urethane bushings to cut into washers to change the spacing of the stab bars that connect to the front bumper support (sorry I am brain farting this part name). Nice build up though, despite mine being a 720, video producers like you help the rest of us learn what parts we can interchange and whatnot.

    Hey bro enjoying the vids, i have a 720 and im interested in gettin a pair of those drop spindles u got, i live in the carribean, is it possible to help me aquire a pair? Thanks!!

    Would this work for a 521 since the most suspension parts are very similar

    • @tinygaragefab
      @tinygaragefab  Před 2 lety

      I don't see any reason why it would not work. It may make the track width wider in front, so you would need to measure and see if you'd be happy with it. A D21 (Nissan Hardbody) can also be used in basically the same way. They are easier to find than 720 trucks.

    Did you use the torsion bars from the 720 or reused the 620? The list of 720 parts used is the towers, upper and lower arms, crossmember, sway bars, spindles. Let me know since I’m going to the JY to source the parts. Thanks! Keep up the good work.

    • @tinygaragefab
      @tinygaragefab  Před 4 lety +1

      I did use the 720 torsion bars, because they were a little bit thicker, so they will provide a higher spring rate and help me not bottom out, since I will be quite low when it's all said and done. There are certainly easier ways to get a balljoint upgrade, but I think this one is a pretty solid option. Definitely OEM quality!

      Are you also planning on using the steering components from the 720? It’s also heavier than the 620.

      Also, the torsion bars fits perfectly in the 620 mount?
