Better than the written guide which is to be honest an unbelievable mess. But it beggars belief that something so easy as controlling the heating appliance needs to be so convoluted!
I've set a programme for the heating to turn on and off in the morning and in the evening but I don't need it yet so I pressed the Hand button. However, at 3.15 am the boiler came on, even though I hadn't set it to come on at that time and anyway, I'd pressed the Hand button. Wasn't sure how to stop it other than to press the Holiday button. Then the boiler started again at 06.30 as per my programme, although I have no need of that just yet. How can I simply turn it off so that it doesn't wake me in the middle of the night again? (Unfortunately the boiler is in a cupboard right by my bed!). And how can I make sure I'm not woken in the night when I do start using the heating later in the autumn? This is all very frustrating.
Whatever the temperature is set to on the device, is it dependent of the physical turn nub on the heaters in rooms themselves? To be more clear if I turn the physical nub to max on the heaters in my rooms the temperature can't go over the programmed heat on the device? If it's the case it means I need to have all physical turn nub heaters set to max in my rooms to have the programed temperatures?
I don’t want to use the auto programmes. If I set the frost button 5c, does this override the auto programme? For now When I’m away I lower the temp.on manual to 5c to stop the auto programme kicking in.
We only need the heating to come in the morning until late evening and then to run at a lower temp overnight we do not need 35 possible combination help
Leave the on and off periods for the other time points the same. The heating will not come on during these points. Example: set program 1 for 6am. Say 20 degrees. Set program 2 to bedtime. Say 18 degrees Set program 3, 4, 5 and 6 all the same to say 10pm. Program 6 will stay on untill 6am the next day
Hello Salus, if I buy a gateway, will it be compatible with this thermostat? Id like to control the heating whenaway from the house with my phone. thanks
Please help, How do I control it myself by simply switching heating on and off as I want. My control panel is showing 16 even though I have set my heating to 22, the display doesn't go above 16 and my house is freezing. I'm desperate, please can you help?
The video doesn't mention manual control at all. I don't want to set the 5-day/2-day routine, as that doesn't match my work pattern, but I can't work out how to control the thing manually at all. I can manage to turn the unit on the wall on to 'manual' and then press 'on', but then how do I control the temperature? Do I have to keep turning it on and off every 5 minutes? A lot of thought seems to have gone into designing a clever way of programming it a certain way (coming on 3 times a day, and working 5 days a week), but if your lifestyle doesn't fit in with that it's useless.
Can this be programmed so that if the home gets below a certain temperature it automatically kicks in? This control is absolutely awful to work out. Its so difficult.
It can, just put it in manual and set the temp. If you set it on 23 degrees it starts once the room hits 22.6 and stops the boiler at 23.2 (so the starting point is .4 degrees below the set temp and .2 degrees above is the stop point)
finally managed to pair, test, set up 5/2 programme system yet still not connected to the boiler & have to turn on / off manually - Would totally not recommend this product to anyone
each programme is just one time and temp so for your example it has to be P1 6.30am 21 C P2 9.00am 10 C P3 5.30pm 21 C P4 11pm 10C that leaves 2 programmes left which i would need for mid day lunchtime that means i dont have any left for the early morning 5 am to 5.30 am which i want in case i wake early if you are using 16 C as your lowest temp ( 16 is not cold) it may mean you are heating your house whilst out which is a possible waste of gas, its more effiecent to bring your house back up to temp when you get home. Very Good but it would have been helpful to explain the manual override system also - I'm a bit confused with the hand and the + hr - do I need to hit both, or one if I want a higher temperature and the other to put the heating on when it is in an "off" period?

You have not used programs 5 and 6. The video guy is causing confusion by using misleading expressions 'on' and 'off . All periods are 'on' periods as the boiler will fire up if the temp falls below the set temp for that period. There is NO off period. Remember he said that 'essentially' the heating goes off, because the temp has been set low. I set mine to 16c during the day ( a so called 'off' period) and it often fires up late afternoon when the temp drops.
But how do I make my house less hot right now? I hate this fucking thing
Pile of crap we set ours and it does not even turn heating on
Have this thing and no one responds to the questions!
Completely useless do not buy this product unless you want a nervous breakdown
This is so complicated. I don’t need 6 programs. Just two. This is awful. Half the time it doesn’t even work properly. I just want a normal thermostat. Is that so hard? Simple. Easy. Not complicated. I’m not even an older person I’m 35 and I don’t even understand half of this imagine someone is 55plus? My god. What a miss.
What's worse than a complicated program system ? One that gives you seconds to input or back to square one grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
