Well I guess he figured either his skills were being wasted in the Department and that he could make way more money as a Street Racer. Or maybe he was already corrupt and into some shady dealing, and was in danger of being exposed.

However, at the moment he finally gets discovered, he tries to make a run from the station, but he gets busted. At this point, the street racing in Seacrest County would start to downfall, now that the racers didn't have any more new info about the SCPD strategies and upgrades.

This is a remastered version of 2010 videogame Need for Speed Hot Pursuit that was released in November 2010 by Criterion Games.
I wish they added crazy challenges or even a hardcore mode in the remaster. 63 cops events are simply too little
