One thing that always bugged me about this game was that it gave certain cars 7 speed transmissions when in reality they only have 6 speed transmissions. This is one of them. Another is the Carrera GT
All cars in this game are modified to go about the same speed(not compared to cop cars)to make it fair for players so cars are kinda just for looks or maybe a little bit armored

Thats the reason i love the 2010 version
It reminds me of the drifting in Midnight Club 3. Your car slides out and as it regains traction the torque multiplies and you get a speed boost. Not every arcade racer gets it right so it's fun when they do.

Well it's powered by Audi's own 4.2 V8 found in the RS4 and R8(Which already has a max rpm of 8,250), but with twin turbos.
Yeah there are great engineers in Audi.

@@samareyte5677 if you're talking about the DAS, then allow me to remind you that they were dominating the field even without it. And FIA iirc banned it for the next year, not for the current year.
As for the money, well, of course formula 1 is a sport where money have a lot of impact. But at the same time if you or me would have that amount of money, I doubt we could build a car that would thrash the competition this badly. They are not the champions for seven years solely because of their money.

yea also in the police is one of the best police cars behind the veyron, agera or the ccx on the other hand, isn't so fast enough though but its still fast
just see the top speed of its just 224 mph but it has a worth it acceleration
I never actually completed this event, I reached the final stretch in 1st then was rammed off. I never reached the end again as I later replaced my ps3 with a ps4. Now that I am older and have much more driving talent, I am considering purchasing this game and completing it just finish off what I started all those years ago...

Sorry man I disagree with you. He is not the fastest. The slightest crash would cost him time.
Also selection of car is very important as if you drive each of them, you can tell what car is the fastest and very stable which could cause the difference. Easy to say as I watch the original hot pursuit, his achieve time is around that number. No changes. Even the blacklist, one of the channel, those people can make it better. Kuru can do it too.

That was hard AF, the grey Veyron starts rubberbanding like crazy when you enter Grand Ocean Road(the last section of the race)

The stress on the entire car would be phenomenal. Tires rotating at 200+ for 13 minutes and drifting for about a third of the time, Brakes dealing with constantly slowing the car from 200+, engine oil and all the cooling components running at max conditions, the moving parts of an engine redlining for over 13 minutes. To top it off, I highly doubt the Apollo would have a gas tank that could last more than 40 miles at flat out speed.

@@kingofroses302 I think you'd need the entire engine to be replaced too, the tires are ruined, needs pretty much everything you need to be replaced, breaks, oil, coolant.
As I was watching this unbelievable speed, it was crazy to see. Also the other races were thinking so who will chase him down . ISAD , was thinking hold my beer , lol outstanding driving sir.
For the brief moments through the tunnel when the engine sound transcended into an ethereal scream he was one with the speed force

Took me 2 tries to clear this in the original game using a CCXR. The Veyron that starts rubberbanding near Grand Ocean Road is such a pain in the ass

I don't remember my pb on this race. But it was close to it. I believe 11:29 with many trial and error. But that was years ago. Since few days i own the Remastered for the switch. I guess I have to practice a lot. I haven't even unlocked this car. Doing it with the fastest Bugatti. Seacrest Tour is my favorite track. Impressive run!
I watched this while playing "magical sound shower" from OutRun, it surprisingly works really well
I got my record in this race with the CCX Edition, this game made me love that car so much is impressive.
