Not too long ago there was a race in new york manhattan which included a hypercar against an rv van
They would even send a Hennessey Venom against a Mustang.

Love that in this game the narrator tries to sell you the car youre looking at making it sound like the most epic thing on the planet. They make something as common as a crown vic sound like an absolute masterpiece. Same thing with the narrator in nfs hot pursuit 2.

i honestly think thats one of the best parts of the game, that description trivia in the select screen was absolute pure "carguy" fanservice and done right.
and its ironic how this was done on an arcade racer, which doesnt quite highlight driving experience and feeling of each car in detail that is often the selling point of most of these descriptions, while something like forza and gran turismo dont have a voice acted trivia (or any in game trivia at all) for any of their cars
i really wish those could have been done again in any more games even if it was on other arcades, its still a really nice touch and shows the devs made some research on the car they are featuring.

@@Syncopia Yep, but hitting checkpoints and narrowly avoiding this spike strip aren't the same thing. Hitting this spike strip would mean an instant game over but if you miss any checkpoint, you can still rewind and win the race.

Dude that should be like a platinum achievement of some sort. Insane that you came in first and kept it together with that damage critical status near the end. But most impressive are your reflexes. Somehow, mid turbo use, you jammed the helicopter spike strips twice even though they were mid curve and the screen was blurry due to the turbo effect. Rock on dude!

The thing is when helicopter doesn't move, that means it ejected a spike strip
thing is, in the vanilla game you cant drive cars of other tiers on the events dedicated to one tier. in this case its a hypercar (highest tier) event and the RX8 is a sportcar (lowest tier)
this video is using a mod. whoch doesnt make the feat less amazing it just means there couldnt be an achievment or anything within the games intended limitations.

It's a tough one true
as a kid, i used to cry over that one lol
The hardest race with police is a n event in SS DLC which is an almost 20 mil pursuit
Tge hardest event overall is Seacrest Tour with tier 4 or less
2nd Hardest; Calm Before The Storm you only have to escape for the 2nd half of the race, but with Highway Battle they're on you from the jump
It's fun, atmospheric, but not really hard when done correctly.
