Extremely informative regarding how to fish structure depending on the direction of the tide and why the fish set up the way they do. Pay attention to the details that Captain JT is pointing out and you'll find (and catch) more fluke this summer. This video is only about 16 minutes long but it took me well over a half hour to view it because I kept re-running several points to really listen and understand what the Captain was talking about. Outstanding!

Thanks for such an informative video ! I am a newbie to fishing from a boat, just retired and bought myself a 17’ skiff along with a Helix 7. Presently fishing the Hudson for stripers. Next area to try is the Norwalk CT area. Your tutorial on looking for structure .. etc where the fish might be using electronics was very helpful !! Any pointers on the Norwalk area ? Thanks

It’s almost too simple to say the islands, but if you check out islands you’ll see plenty of easily identifiable areas to target all species especially bass. Flunking is excellent inshore for the islands, and best with lighter gear under bait schools. I love the islands!!!!!!

No. Those marks are only saved onto the gps. If you make community edits and upload them, other can see them. If your putting marks on your gps, only you can see them. Great question

Baby girl waves😅...me 10 foot swells fishing in ocean. But, worse sailing in 6 to 7 foot waves in Chesapeake bay during the back side of hurricane no motor of 2010 for two days alone 💪

We didn't this year because of the weather but we definitely are planning to do it next year. The trip to Montauk is usually about an hour.

I keep my boat in Meetinghouse Creek in Aquebogue, so it's a bit of a trip even to Greenport. I'm going to try by Robins in the morning and see what happens haha, if I catch anything good I'll make sure to not tell anyone! Very useful info and I'm starting to really understand and be able to make a plan out there rather than just floating around, dropping hooks and crossing our fingers

When you are doing that fast shaking style jigging,,how far off the bottom are you keeping your jig?

Great question. You want your bucktail touching the bottom. When you lose bottom contact, let more light out until you touch bottom then keep imparting the jigging action on your rig. When you get past 30 or 40° line angle (scope), reel up and start over again. Thanks for the question Tim!
