  • Here's a little bit of a different video for a "1k" special of sorts. Thank you to all who've helped me achieve this milestone!
Back in September 2019 when I filmed this truck, it seemed like all of the regular route drivers were being subbed in by pool drivers which worked out in my favor. I came with the intention of finding one of their older Rapid Rails, which I succeeded in. After filming one, I picked up this truck shortly after a few blocks away.
The South Bay division up until recently was one of the last hold-outs for automated split body trucks, and older trucks in general. Some of these units have already begun popping up in different divisions like Oregon. RSB ran a couple of these, some old WXLL Heil Rapid Rail Co-Collectors left over from the San Jose contract, and some other oddball trucks. Nowadays, it seems like one truck handles trash or recycling, leaves to go dump, then comes back to handle whatever was left behind. It was nice catching these split units a couple of times before the new trucks were brought in.
At the time of uploading this video, this truck has been taken off of the Alum Rock Monday route and replaced by two Peterbilt 320 Heil Pythons. Unfortunately, it seems like not too many of the drivers in Alum Rock these days are very filmer friendly so I don't have an opportunity to come back and film the trucks they currently have, which is quite sad since they have some really cool trucks.
As always, thank you to the driver!
    Enjoy the video!

AYYYYEEEE!!. That’s Christian. I don’t really see him much coz he starts at 6:30am while I start at 5am. Maybe once in a while I’ll see him after work. Very quiet dude, keeps to himself but a cool dude 👍🏽

Congrats on 1,000 Subscribers! I love all of the old Ex Norcal Toters down there, this is definitely a neat truck to watch. Great video!

Congratulations on 1,000 and hope many milestones to come. Now for the video. It was awesome to see that split loader in action. Instead of sending out 2 trucks you can send 1 truck to pick up garbage and recycling. Love the lid flips it did, and the carts look very cool. Great work!
