- The Russian army, due to a lack of resources, is massively distributing subpoenas to residents of Moscow and St. Petersburg, Ukrainian intelligence services report. In addition, residents of the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine are also being mobilized, especially those who have received a Russian passport. Why are the Russians not protesting against illegal mobilization - our correspondents found out.

Absolutely, but recent reports from inside Russian prisons from people that worked in the prison service are shocking. Prisoners sodomized repeatedly with broom handles, beaten to within an inch of their lives, some may take their chances to fight albeit poorly.

Unfortunately, they largely (not all) seem to express support for the illegal SMOn in Ukraine so not going to feel much pity for these conscripts. Those from occupied territories have the option of taking the guns given to them and turn it on their oppressors ...
I heard on a 1420 interview they express support until asked to volunteer! then they turned tail.
Turning your weapons against oppressors is easy said. The Russians have tanks and aircrafts. The conscripts have Mosins or rusty AKMs. And don't have any supplies or food. They want to live and not just be killed by Russians. The smartest way would be to try to surrender to Ukrainians or escape.
Maybe they don't feel that opressed then and would just shift to whatever government is in power
Being a Russian conscript is like being surrounded by people to stupid evade a draft.

I have many friends in both countries and have visited both many times over the years and i’am constantly told by my Russian ones that they would love Putin gone, but years ruling with an iron fist, controlling all media and stifling all decent makes it very hard to ‘rise up’ in any serious numbers to matter! But, things can’t go on like this indefinitely so the hope is that these ‘decent Russian people’ will eventually have to do something to change as they’ve told me, but when? Clear!
