Tosh’s Stand up is so underrated. Forgot how good this special was.
So underated he sells out all his shows.
Man, I like Tosh. In some respects, he reminds me of Chapelle -- he'll say something fucked up and funny as hell, not to shock, but to make a point that gets you thinking. Okay, sometimes he'll say it just to shock ha ha.

Back when the Detroit Tigers were in the playoffs in the early 2010's, my wife was recording a game for me while I was at work. I got home late, and the game went into like the 12th inning when my recording cut out because she didn't extend it for long enough.... ALWAYS 3 hours extra just in case! Needless to say I stayed up until 4am only to have to check the score online...

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that their immediate reaction to "Georgia" in the luge joke was about the state and not the country. In that particular olympics (Vancouver), the country of Georgia lost an athlete in a luge accident.

Tosh had yall real quite with "THERES NO EXCUSE FOR DOMESTIC VIOLENCE.... It sounds like a challenge". Then had her laughing after "can I run over and pop her then".
Then had him laughing at "but she forgets to record the half hour show afterward just incase it goes into overtime"
He used two PERSONAL examples. He says "pop" cause its the softest way to phrase struck, after using the most extreme scenario to coax the female audience.
He then invites the male audience into the joke after he gets some laughs from the woman. He coulda just joked about her not DVRing the game, but he hits home with the men with the thought of missing overtime.
He got laughs with a domestic abuse joke from both parties starting out with "it sounds like a challenge"

Just found this vid. I was horrible at test a week later knew every answer. I felt pathetic, it didn't matter I still learned what they were teaching just didn't have that many friends to study with. I knew what I needed to, to get out of school. Just because you don't get it the first time around doesn't make you dumb.

I love how Tosh has so many references that black people immediately get. Makes the whole thing more satisfying to watch. From watching Tosh for ages, I know he respects black people on another level and looked up to successful people his whole life. In one of the Tosh.O episode, I believe he even said his mother told him once that he should have born as a black boy, he was that much into black entertainers and artists. Sorry to make it racial I just feel like not a lot of people know this.

What I like about Daniel is he makes points with his comedy he doesn’t just say something for shock value he’s a genius.. I can’t stand comedians that just say something for shock value like dude get off the stage you aren’t smart enough to write a joke
If you like the kind of comedy where the comedian crosses the line, and then keeps going so far that he ends up looping round the earth so he can cross the line again, check out Bo Burnham. It’s brilliant and wrong, but also it can make you think. Half of his stuff has a visual element, so you’ll want vids of the stage performances, rather than album tracks. He’s got 4 comedy specials to choose from. I’d recommend anything from Words, Words, Words (special #2) or What (special #3) to start
