Este dueto es tan arrebatadoramente hermoso que te transporta a parajes lejos de la consciencia o el sueño. Es sobrenatural , lo más grande a lo que el genio humano puede aspirar.
Great, no doubt, but please listen the 1958 Decca recording with Tebaldi, Bergonzi, conducted by Tullio Serafin... In his read, this masterpiece is a revelation.
nice, but not stirring, a bit too restrained for my taste, especially Pavarotti, just lacks the hair-raising ardor between the lovers that brings tears of pleasure when listening to Gigli-Monti or Bjperling-de los Angeles.
Agree. When I first got this recording some 32 years ago, I was bitterly disappointed and stay bitterly disappointed to this day. Freni is great and I would rather hear her Butterfly any day of the week over Renata Scotto. However,Luciano Pavarotti sounds strangely detached and uninvolved in this performance. I expected to hear a lot more passion from like in his Tosca and Turandot recordings.
Maestro Pavarotti lei ci manca tanto! Quando la sento cantare il mio cuore si ferma ♥️
Freni is, in my opinion, the Greatest Butterfly!
Her Cio-Cio san was really close to perfection!
One of the best duets in opera, and Freni & Pavarotti work well together

Brawississimo ! Meine Liebe Oper ! Brawississimo !

I love, love this duet! Thanks for posting!

I love Tebaldi but thought her voice slightly too heavy for the role.
Yes
C.f bjoerling and victoria de los angeles. Insurpassable.

ah, abbiamo Finocchierton come tenore
