    Nice video, one thing to note ,if any bulbs are out on the HVAC control it would be a great time to replace.
    I see a lot of older Tacomas with bulbs out

      Great call! Mine is a 2014. They aren't out but thanks for the heads up, I'll probably replace the bulbs anyway while I'm in there.

    My mother's fiance has a 2012 Tacoma without the JBL unit plus the rear view camera integrated into the rearview mirror. The vacuum fluorescent display doesn't work properly however the radio function works. Any ideas on what stereo brands that can be used (aftermarket stereo with built-in amplifier)?

    Nice video. Do you have a video on how you got the rear view camera from the rear view mirror to the head unit? I have a Sony xavax5500 and would like to use both. Any info would help.

    Hi, you mentioned that model tacoma had the backup camera in the rear view mirror. Same as mine. I noticed it was now on the radio screen. Is the one in the mirror now disabled or still in the mirror also. Thank you.

    My Alpine wants the parking brake signal to make sure you are parked before messing with the radio setup. I guess I'll try to hook it up if I can get to it otherwise, I'll hook up a toggle switch to fake it out any pointers are welcome

    Great video, I’m about to swap out my head unit for the same exact one. Out of curiosity, does the stock microphone work with this or do you have to use Sonys external mic that it comes with?

    I used your video to help install a Kenwood 4707 in my 2015 Tacoma. The only issue I have is that when using my steering wheel controls, I can not scroll through my XM presets. It only goes to the next channel in sequential order. Is there a fix for this?

    • @ProvoBeastAudio

    2012 Tacoma (non jbl). Having issues with wiring. Ordered all the listed parts but didn’t see an alternative for wiring harness. Crux ending in N doesn’t fit, there is no connection for the big 28 pin connector. Local stereo shop sold me one for just the stereo and gave me a list for steering control adapter and USB, none of which appear correct. Any idea what will work for 2012 Tacoma to keep all the functionality?

    • @ProvoBeastAudio
      @ProvoBeastAudio  Před rokem +2

      We transferred the camera to the radio. You can keep it in the mirror without any issue as it runs independently of the radio. Customer just requested to relocate the image to the new Sony.
