  • The iPhone 12 and higher versions are doing a much better job at capturing bioluminescence. The biggest difference is video. You can actually capture video using these new iPhones. Here is an example using an iPhone 12

Hi there! A couple weeks ago I purchased the Grow Pro kit. I transferred the dinos into the flasks 100ml each and gave em light everyday for more than 7-8 hours (a mix of indirect sun and LEDs). It's been about 2 weeks and there's still no brown line at the water line for some reason. I did see this line in the white pack prior to filling them into the flasks though. What would you suggest I do differently? I also try my best to not let the temp get over 29C.
They do look very stunning at night though 😍

We would recommend less lighting or less intense lighting. Move to a location away from the light source so they receive less light during the daytime.

Hi how did you film this on iphone? What settings did you use?

Its not the settings - its the phone. Older iPhones, (8 or earlier) have trouble filming but do Ok with still images. iPhone 11 or later do OK with filming and even better with still images. When taking an image with your phone, turn off your flash and set the exposure to 2 or 3 seconds. Low light video settings are automated.

IPhone 12 minis are good. You should be able to get some decent images.
