    You taught me a lot. I have a battery that is puffing. I plan on replacing it very soon. But it never gets hot in my crawler, so far. Thanks for the infomation.

    One of my batteries puffed from a crash.i let it discharge to 0 and took it to Home Depot for it to be recycled

    Wow all your dispose packs have not swelled at all Can Imagine how perfectly you must be treating your batteries Cheers

      Appreciate the comment. When you discharge your packs down to 0V for disposal, swelling tends to go down.

    i hate how often people post on reddit like "why is my brand new 4s Lipo's IR at 3.9, 4.1, 4.2, and 5.3? should i toss it?" ill just link this from now on. Thanks!

    Your methods are pretty much what I’ve been doing since I’ve used LiPo batteries, except for discharging prior to disposal. In future I’ll do that as well.

    I've noticed that when I check my batteries resistance on my SKY RC charger and then do it again straight after the results can be completely different, why is that? I have a parra-board as per usual and I then have a 4S balance lead which goes to the battery so I was wandering is it because of the leads?

    • @RCexplained
      @RCexplained  Před dnem +1

      If the battery is heating up internally, results will vary

    Hi, how do you really measure the capacity? In fact you tell that we have to charge from 0 to 100% to check how much we fill in, but lipo batteries shoukd never be completely depleted. Do I miss something here ?

    • @RCexplained
      @RCexplained  Před měsícem

      You can also start at 20% by dropping the voltage to this charge state. Then charge the remaining 80% to get to 100%. Perform a calculation to get total capacity.

    Hi I keep my lipo batteries in a safe for safety reasons.I was getting worried that condensation may get into the safe so I put a moisture absorbing tub in there.I hadn’t used the batteries for awhile and opened the safe and the tub was half full.I’m just wondering if you think I would of caused any damage to the batteries?

    • @RCexplained
      @RCexplained  Před měsícem

      The best way to tell is to get the IR data and capacity data from the batteries to see what the state of them is. Dry them out if they are still wet.

      They were never wet.I don’t know but do you think it’s possible that the moisture would have been drawn out of the batteries?

    Kindly I have two 6000mAh 100c 3s and two 4s batteries with same specs and when I tried the Limitless with an 8s esc and a 27v 320A 9000W delta motor. With the 6s it wasn't that good for drag racing and it dropped the battery to around 16v, so I tried 7s and it was much better and the voltage dropped to a minimum 19.2v on load of 520A and around 10,000W so I tried it with 8s and it was fantastic and very fast that it only dropped the voltage to a minimum of 24v, took over 500A and provided 12,000W of power from the motor.
    Meanwhile I checked the motor and battery temps after I tried it several times and they were still cool.
    I am providing this information because I do not know how they calculate the voltage of the motor because the motor can turn 75k and on 8s it only went up to about 60k when the wheels were spinning, so the motor was still within limits!
    Even the batteries were not overloaded on 8s and when I tried the 6s and the 7s the main positive and negative leads started to warm up!

    • @RCexplained
      @RCexplained  Před měsícem +1

      Calculate the RPM at that voltage if the car were to fly off the pavement becoming airborne and you don't release the throttle trigger.

      The motor will over rev, even when it started spinning the wheels I delayed the throttle
