How about a Targon/Shadow Isles deck? I keep thinking of the synergies between Mark/Song of the Isles and Mikhael's Blessing, especially combined with a Gwen/Thresh/Hecarim setup.

Unfortunately for your buddy he's missed the peak of this game and its gone from being capable of interesting stuff to being a game of throwing numbers and keywords around, or maybe burn. It's a shame that this games monetization is so good I can't enjoy MTGA anymore, but lor is basic as fuck
@@TheAcad3mic How so? I see that in Evelynn, Gwen, and Kai'sa, but that is only a fraction of the champions in LoR. I think there are a lot of really well designed champions that do not rely on random keywords or growing stats like Twisted Fate, Taliyah, or Zilean. I think LoR has the capability to become much greater, but where it is right now isn't too bad. There is still a good amount of depth in the game.
@@griffvideoman Unfortunately those champions aren't played. Pantheon decks and Bard decks everywhere, and now Gwen and Illaoi just adding up to piles of numbers. If slapping bodies into faces is your idea of an interesting card game with depth I dunno what to tell you.
I can see why you think the depth is there in theory, but clever shit gets spoiled by this games removal being by far the weakest AND most expensive I've ever seen in any card game, and the meta shit being completely ridiculous balls of words and stats. Games boring.
For a neat interaction, you shoud try Gwen and Riven. When Riven flips, she will double the hallow buff and if gwen is attacking she will alsso get that doudled Hallow. Its a pretty busted combo ngl

@@pedrovilar6123 I tried that a bit ago but it’s a bit too much of a unit soup, too easy for the opponent to disrupt if they have any good interaction. Fun when it works but hardcountered by many SI and Freljord decks.

I left this comment on your Evelynn react but I think Viego Evelynn has a lot of potential because Husks are constantly being generated and just playing new units with Viego on the board triggers a Mist being spawned. I think you can get him to turbo level up very quickly and provides two different threats. Would love to see a video that could spawn out of this idea!
Edit: I didn't even realize that an Evelynn Viego deck made an appearance in this video lmao.
Bonus synergy Solitude gives the mists keywords since they happen to be 1 mana and Domination gives them +1 as well which speeds up Viego's level up
That was great! Quinn felt extremely good in this deck - I've always found her underwhelming - but that was an amazing showcase! Eternal Dancers is nutty (plz no nerf) and Hallowed seems like a really solid mechanic! Finally that Viego Eveylenn was lots of fun seeing Vilemaw was the highlight like nani!

would love to see an evelynn deck next that's outside of a kai'sa deck. I'm really curious how well she would do outside of the very obvious synergy they've made between her and kai'sa, if she holds her own at all.
Lucian with the death synergy cards. Husks might not be slain when the pop but they count as dying for those effects
I thought husks dying would count as slaying but apparently not, because my first idea was running a Nasus variant. Maybe it’s like that because they’d scale like crazy. But maybe Evelynn Thresh?

I recently just went up against a Noxus Shadow Isles deck, There was a combo of eternal dancers + Ruined reckoner (+ survival skills to keep alive) to have infinite combats. Crazy stuff
Yo, you've got to try Viktor/Kai'sa when you get the chance.
They just enable each other so dang quickly.
If you play nothing but Viktor, Kai'sa, and the cards they create, they both flip in 4 turns.
Because viktor sees his own hex core every round, and Kai'sa's second skin every other round.
And Kai'sa sees Viktor's Augment, Her own quick attack, and the Hex Core upgrade every round.
And with Give it All, you can take these big evolved units and massively stat boost your entire board and translate your massive keyword stacks onto your non-champion units.
In theory? Yes. But in practice I feel it's way slower than Eve, and you have less board presence. But I might be wrong, I just saw the deck in some streams so it was probably not optimized at all.
I really like Gwen this expansion! She’s so cool and feels like a more balanced version of Lurk. I’ve ran into a few problems playing this morning tho. Viego Gwen is busted. I was expecting this but god damn is it a strong combo!
The other one id advise people to watch out for is an infinite combo with Ruined Reckoner and Eternal Dancers. If you have no way to answer that card on turn six it’s an auto lose. I hope this is somehow patched. Excited to see what you make Mogwai!

Yeah I really hope they don't end up nerfing Eternal Dancers cause of that combo, it'd really suck if they make it opt for decks like this one. If they do maybe they'd make it a 5 drop?
@@MatthewCJoy well, lurk is just bad in many ways, and hallowed is just funnier and stronger (and kinda absurd, because any deck can use it), so it's more "balanced" I think it.
I'm my opinion they should rework lurk because it's never worked

Won my second match today with this deck. Was a clutch match against a Shyvana/ASol deck.All those thicc dragons were disgusting. A clutch Golden aegis with Quinn saved me from fatal( Had 3 life)

I went for a less big brain deck: Gwen Katarina (with 1 Elise) and I have discovered that blighted caretaker is MVP! So much synergy, so many options, so much value, chef's kiss.
I have an idea for your next deck if you want to use Evelyn.
You could use an Evelyn/Kindred Deck.
I know, tge dying husks from just summoning a unit does not count as "slaying" BUT you can use them as preys and also get keywords + stats from them.
I really hope you are reading this and give me your opinion.

Great video! I hope one day you tackle Kaisa Viktor. I think that deck will be crazy because Kaisa can access elusive ,challenger, and augment super reliably in P&Z in addition to whatever Viktor hits, and Viktor benefits from the created spell Kaisa generates. It sounds great in theory, but I want to know if I'm huffing copium or not.

Im so excited for mogwais version of yasuo. I have been playing with a bit tweeked version of old noxus yasuo and that deck is amazing. Also stuns in this meta are broken so I can see this deck being tier one.

Well I have two ideas for you for both Kaisa and Evelynn without them being in the same deck.
Kaisa- you can combine her with Taric because Taric not only gives another keyword (tough) he also works extremly well with Kaisa's signature spell (Supercharge) because both Taric and the supported unit will gain overwhelm and spellshield at burst speed. You can also add in Starhound Pack as they work really well with Taric since Taric can proc fated now.
Shen is also an option to combine with Kaisa because the Shen boat can give double attack which Kaisa, Hive Herald and Void Abomination can copy.
Evelynn- Eve can work really well with Kalista because Kalista actively want you to kill units to level her up, so by using the husks on Kalista you're not only progressing her level up, you also provide Kalista protection in the from of hp and keywords she gains from the husks. Kalista's lvl 2 also works really well with Eve because Kalista will summon one of your husk generators which will always give you another husk to sacrifice for Eve or her followers.
I have my own version of the deck and I also included Mask Mother because Mask Mother can serve as a way for you to kill the husk generators for Kalista's lvl up and also she can gain insane stats since you can kill one of your units which has a bunch of keywords and also she can consume your husks if you have any on board.
I like playing Gwen with Illaoi
Getting the Halloed effect on the Tentacles is quite the boost, which Illaoi doubles up on herself for one hell of a swing

I don't know Mogwai, I know a lot of people would disagree with that.
I've been having a lot of fun playing Gwen with Diana in a Nightfall deck. Both Diana and the cheap elusives like The Flight and Lunari Shadestalker benefit from the Hallowed procs, and Gwen puts on enough pressure that a Winding Light turn can usually end the game. Pour one out for our old friend Nocturne.
