I realised through watching this that I'm a closeted minimalist. I have 1 back-up shampoo because my shampoo was on sale. I have 1 bottle of conditioner in my shower, 1 facewash that I love, a body wash that we got gifted, a 3 step skincare routine that I'm faithful to and only ever buy back when I finish something... I've had the same shoes for years, I rarely buy clothing. If I was a cishet man I would probably have a weekly podcast about this.

Let's talk about proper pajamas! I feel you on this. I just recently starting buying myself actually pajama sets and it's honestly life changing. Budgeting and saving is so important but so is investing in the things that truly matter. I'm really taking my running seriously this year, and I've been putting a good chunk of money towards all things running. It's all about intentional and thoughtful spending vs just throwing money around. Loved this video!

I started buying sketchers, have 2 at the moment and dont plan on buy more untill one die. But i buy on the website when theyre on sale at arround 30 dolars ( not my currency, but i budget CLP $30.000)

I loved this video! I tried SO hard to think of my best purchases in 2023 and only came up with one: custom orthotics! They were $$$ but soo worth it. My only regret is that I didn’t get them sooner. I’ll have to think some more on things I am NOT purchasing in 2024. Great video!

Omg my husband used to have a dog (before we got married) and training was definitely one of the costly items on his budget and I felt the same way you did about the training. It was so expensive for very little results. With him working 8 - 5 plus an hour+ long commute each way, there was hardly any time to put into continuing the training after the trainer was gone.

I’m a stay at home momma of a 3 year old and newborn and I’ve had to stop myself from buying outfits that I can’t wear at home. I love cute clothes but need to be practical that I’m running after toddlers all day so investing in athletic clothes is what I need to do!
Also, my husband and I have been saving to redo our bathroom (new floor tile, vanity and shower tile). So we have saved for 10 years and are finally doing it this year!
that's how I feel but with my dog, she makes everything so dirty 😂 I hope the bathroom reno goes amazing

probably how quickly i purchase it! i don't think theres anything wrong with being influenced to buy something, but I know it's an impulse if I buy it super quickly without taking a few days to mull it over :)

This was such a fun video! I've always been a Coach girl (since I was a teenager) and their purses are so cute and such high quality. I'm also obsessssed with pajamas and my favorite brand is Soma. They're known as a more middle-aged mom brand but their Cool Nights collection is insanely soft even after literally hundreds of washes. I have a pair of shorts from there that I am still wearing over 10 years later. I hope they sell to Canada!

I have been on a low spend budget for 3 years now. This year I have only set saving goals but not spending goals so we will see how it goes :)
Because of the low spending I'll be able to buy myself an apartment soon (I'm 21 currently), but I definitely don't want to continue living this life :)

As someone who has trained a lot of dogs in the past, 90% is training people. Honestly you’re training yourself as well what to do to help your dog. Separation anxiety is a tough one but the reality is that it just will take persistence with your training.
Things I'm not spending money on: eating out (although I was never really bad at it before), any new video equipment (unless a HUGE project warrants it), I've NEVER been a shoe/purse person, extra lotions and potions that don't really do anything to fight aging. lol Things I will spend money on: I do love my candles, experiences (particularly travel if work picks up, and workout gear (because I practically live in and I end up having to do laundry a couple times a week because I go through it so fast, and hair cuts (because I have shorter hair and I got complacent for too long and was just doing ponytails). ETA: also invest in my hobbies like tap dance classes, which I started about 2 years ago.

You started to read a court of thorn and roses after me. I was reading a few books at the same time and thought it was really slow so I would always put it down. I saw that you had purchased mist and fury. In your last vlog I believe… I was like better get to it, it gets better once you are about half in. I’m almost done now, and I have to give you the credit. For motivating my a** lol 😂

I've been using the library exclusively but its tough if you're looking to get a popular book quickly. My trick is to place myself on many many holds and wait for whichever come by. Sometimes an entire bunch comes and sometimes one or two, but it gives me the sense of urgency to read them. This year I'm cutting back on eating out and meal prepping with Stasher bags. I've also been thinking about getting the Hatch alarm for the winter season since it's so hard to wake up in the dark...did yours help?
haha I've been there too when all the books arrive at once 😂🫶🏻 and the hatch helps A LOT! I put the light to start 30 mins before the alarm and I often wake up before the alarm sound

I’m trying not to buy anymore activewear. I’m consistent with the gym but I have a HUGE collection and if I lose weight (which is the goal) none of it will fit so I don’t want to buy any more at my current size

I felt shy in the early weeks but then I ripped the bandaid off and now we have a super open dialogue about finances. I think that's essential for a healthy relationship! Finances are a huge part of life :)

I’ve heard the AirPod Max are bad quality. I would recommend getting a pair of Bang & Olufsens. I have a pair and they’re great! They look good, are comfortable and are excellent quality. I’d say their pricing is similar to Apple’s.

Which Camera did you buy??? I bought the MacBook Pro M3 Max this year, with the setup I chose it was like $7000 LOL Not sure how smart it was hahahaha (for my Camera I have the Sony A7 SIII with the 16-35mm Lens). (asking because I'm feeling a bit of buyers remorse LOL)
I bought the sony A6000 and I LOVE it!! It was about $2,000 without the lens (I already had one) so definitely an investment

The dog hair gets clogged so quickly! I can't believe I spent over a thousand dollars on a shitty vacuum lol. I actually get so frustrated every time I clean.

@@ZoePritchard The biggest thing with vacums and hair is to get one without a roller brush. Thats where all the haird gets stuck and they are a pain in the but to take apart and clean. I had a roommate with a beatiful long haired dog and a dyson. That thing got clogged so fast and there are so many pieces to take apart!

soy is a hormone disruptor, so soy candles arent really good for us as women. i recommend beeswax candles, those are more pricey for sure though

I have 18 books i have to read that i will probably donate to comunal libraries, clottes i buy second hand exept jackets and underwear, shoes i have more but im a shoe destroyer. And just buy new when one is on the last leg. And the only thing expensive i habe is a perfum that i bougth on Epcot ( agua alegora) and chanel 5 that my mom give me for a bday.
