Exactly! Sanatana Dharma way of life is a big chapter. 1.4 Billion Indians and majority Hindus and of them all, maybe 100 people follow perfect way of life as prescribed by the greatest yogis. If all Hindus followed the same yogic way of life, then we won't have same human DNA, but much superior one by now. Yoga and Meditation were tools developed to create a perfect future by perfecting the DNA every next generation. Now we have a purpose of life. But, humans of Kali Yug don't have self-control and hence they will fail miserably in evolving their species properly. 8 Billion humans on this planet and I'm more sure about human extinction than human evolution.

Karma is all about our actions... More we consume more complex life, more karma we accumulate in the form of everything including the diseases contained in the animal, poisons in the meat such as certain types of toxins, etc. This gets passed on to the meat eaters children and so on... there is no refinement of the DNA. They create more and more complexities and problems and diseases and disabilities and will need to use more material things such as drugs and surgical procedures to fix their bodies. By lowering our dependence on almost all life, we lower our karma and using yoga and meditation, we can neatly tune our bodies to perfection. That's how men and women of Satya Yuga had such supernatural powers and abilities. They ensured they consciously controlled their population and consumed only fruits and vegetables thereby lowering their total karma. Fruits and vegetables of Satya Yuga were infinitely more nutritious than those of Kali Yuga. They had evolved to provide the best for those divine beings. Also, since their population was low and perfectly in control, they ensured all individuals got all they wanted and there was never unhappiness ever such that death itself lost it's meaning. But, in Kali Yuga, at least for the sake of the soul, humans should try to harm least to no animal or bird or insect. All that have norciceptors can feel pain. So, avoiding such creatures alone itself is a good thing to progress to the next step.

The real question in hand is the pain that animal goes through. It's mental horror. Non vegetarian justifies pain to plants having life. Sure there is life there is no central nervous system in them. If we had no pain reception I think it would be a different world altogether. There is reason nature has developed pain reception for evolution. Apathy cannot be justified by ignorance. If there was only regulatory boards that exists in these horror factories of the west. Only then there is some sanity. For time being why can't it be regulated. There has to be humane way to do this until human evolves further or we find laboratory alternative to plant based meat. We are obsorbing too much negativity from nature and it wnt be soft later.

And milking a cow is a violence and stealing. That cow's milk belongs to a calf, not to a man. There's no such term as ahimsa milk. To breed cows one should use violence. Anyway those cows were domesticated. They belong to nature, not to a human. So there was violence to get them from their natural place of living - wild nature. Please, study and think about it. Breeding cows means killing cows, means violent impregnation.
