TAT TVAM ASI - You (conscious, immanent and omnipresent athma) are (already) that (conscious, transcendent Brahman) because without the conscious, immanent and omnipresent athma nothing can exist or nothing can be perceived in its current form or no duality cycles can happen. Identification with thoughts and body is just an illusion because the 5 senses are experienced by the athma and it is NOT the doer

I think Jeffrey Armstrong gives the most comprehensive and succinct description of what Karma is, all in about 20min video, that I've come across ...... the guy is not only full of knowledge, but he is talented.....he has a sharp intellect but describes the topic, is able to join the dots, in quite a straight forward easy to understand manner, to build a precise picture of what Karma is.

You are right Jeffrey ji in the meaning of the word Karma . And this with a few other things are in God’s hands. Otherwise most of it is free will though many people are not conscious of this fact. Prarabhda karma, Sanchita and agami karma are the 3 forms of karma which play out differently at different times of our current life and subsequent lives. Yogis and Gurus know when and how they will come and know to balance out their karmic account .

Thank you for the nice description of karma. 🙏
About the Brahman. I hope you don't mind me adding the following...
According to Lord Brahma and Vyasadeva the compiler of the Vedas.. The Brahman is only one aspect of the Absolute Truth which is realised in three features Brahman Paramatma and Bhagavan. The Brahman is inseparable from Bhagavan because it is the light that emanates from Him. The Paramatma which is Bhagavans extension resides very close to the spiritual soul in everyone's heart area. So there are these three features of the Absolute Truth not just the Brahman on its own. Which means according to the original Vedānta conclusion that the Absolute Truth is entirely personal and eternally existing. For as long as the Brahman exists, the Supreme Personality of the Absolute Truth Bhagavan also exist. No Bhagavan, no Brahman.
Us westeners call Him God. In the Vedas He is known as Bhagavan Sri Krishna which is a more suitable description.
I just wanted to add this, because there are many people yogi's who are propagating only the existence of the impersonal Brahman which is called Advaita Vedanta. In reality it is not Vedanta. But they are using this term to pretend their philosophy is Vedic.
But this is an artificial imposition onto the Vedas out of sync and atheistic.
They have stripped Bhagavan of His personality and all of His attributes and just left the Brahman. But because of that, their Brahman is illusory and the people who have done that, are known as Mayavadies.
    Propagators of illusion.
Sri Madhvacharya wrote: “Any proposition which is inconsistent with the sovereign independence of God should be rejected as false. Consistency with Divine majesty is itself the criterion of truth. All proof and authorities should be interpreted in the light of the Supremacy or Sarvotthamatva of God, which should not be compromised at any cost”.
    Namaste Hare Krishna 🙏

Namaste Mr. Armstrong, Very well explained. One question - I have heard that whatever happens is predestined and is for our good. Yes we have a free will to choose the type of actions that come in our journey of life, but with a conscious good choice, can we change the past negative effect into positive result. It is a battle in my mind always for any action I take , could be thru words, thoughts or reactions to specific situations.

  • @sunitakaran217

Karma is action it is every day n every minute it is about which is created by every being of this universe. It is about getting a conscious mind or playing in nature by nature n the individuals surrounding us.The most difficult journey is when we are very aware n the psycho mindsets we live in where people can hate you n can create conspiracies against you in so many ways.It is sometimes our patience are in question how we react to these manipulations is also good if we remain calm n being able to endure or ignore every action which is created by hatred n jealousy. The most important part we can play is not being stupid but focus which is important to us.Jai Shree Krishna

Yamaraj takes care of bodily death. Chitragupt keeps an account of your karma. Swarga and naraka could be intervals- good or bad , depending on your actions- before you take another birth.

  • @bernarddesilva5718
    @bernarddesilva5718 Před 2 lety +1

Let's start with Valmiki and Kambar the two authors of Ramayanam Epic. Valmiki wrote in Sanskrit in verse form and Kambar in Tamil in prose form. Valmiki was not a Sanskrit or Pali guy and he too was a Tamil. He came from Kannada and Kambar from Tamil Nadu. Some interested parties wanted Valmiki to look a Sanskrit/Pali guy and got his name mixed up with a Buddhist named Ratnakara, a character from the Buddhist Jathaka Kathawa - a Buddhist chronology. In Tamil JATHAKA becomes JATHAGAM meaning Biodeta in English.
So one stage Valmiki became Ratnakkkardah and his parents were Charshanii and Sumali. I am puzzled to know how they got these names. They look like Twentieth Century Sinhalese names. There is another reference to his father being Pracheta - that name looks Pali. Then next stage Valmiki becomes an Ant Hill and remains in the same form for three decades. Then Narada another Pali guy comes and rescues him. The plot gets more and more complicated, Valmiki now tells the story of Ramayanam to the stone statue elephant, which by now has got a Sanskrit name Gaja Nesa which means elephant worthy of adoration or love and the Tamils concluded it as GANESHA and he becomes Lord Ganesha and the stone statue now has got life.
All this bullshit is to prove that the story of Rama and Sita are real and they lived in Ayodhya. Rama, Sita and Laxman are Tamil names and they couldn't be from Ayodhya. If their story was real Emperor Ashoka would have definitely glorified and built temples. Emperor Ashoka ruled from Afghanistan to Cape Commerin - Kumari Malai. Maha Bulla Pura ( it is Sanskrit/Pali and means big rocky place) when the Tamil Pandiyan kings came to rule they called it MahaBalliPuram. Goodness gracious me only the Pandiyans will know the meaning.
There was no Rama and Sita in Sri Lanka there was only ADAM Alaisalam and Hawa Alaisalam (ADAM & Eve) ADAM and Eve hijacked became Rama and Sita.
SANATANA is not Sanskrit or Tamil it must be a word from the "Kuppatambi Dictionary"
When the British arrived in India in the 17th Century AD the Mogul Empire held for the prior fifty years 25% of the world GDP. Remember Moguls ruled India for 800 to 1000 years. India, Hindu or Hinduism never existed during that period or prior to that. Good luck for your wild dreams and wild imaginations.
