Wow, there's a really strange coincidence with the first story. I thought instead of "EGL 8" they were saying "EGLX", which didn't make sense b/c they were talking about EU and EGLX is a tournament convention in Toronto. So anyway at EGLX 2018 during a Smash Bros Melee tournament (one of, if not the most technical fighting games/videogames period) the exact same thing happened as what they were describing at EGL 8, someone opened a hangar door during sub zero temperatures (except during this occasion there wasn't even a justification for it like Hecz provided from EGL 8, some asshole apparently just opened the door to cause a ruckus, and then tried yelling "assault!" when staff tried to correct the situation). This also happened in either Loser's Finals or Grand Finals iirc. It's pretty crazy that tournaments with names this similar had the exact same issue like that.

I think it's because they understand that they're role models to a lot of their younger fans and don't want to use their platform in a negative way. Also they're business men now and saying the wrong thing could ruin a potential partnership with a sponsor in the present or future
