I was pleasantly surprised when she said that because I don't come across many that have that same mindset, except for a few of my Christian sisters, and notice I said "few"! We CAN have purity in our lives if we rely on God and seek mentors/Christian friendships ❤

I have followed Ashley for years. She has helped me so much as it pertains to stewarding my single season. I am healing and getting better at communication. I am incredibly proud of AO! He has matured emotionally and mentally. Carrington came in with so many gems. He is so wise and so young. So proud of these two.

A little bit of prosperity gospel here but I get the sentiment (42:00) I’m debt free and building from there and that’s definitely a conversation starter and can potentially lead to discipleship. But let’s keep it a buck. Giving your life to Jesus doesn’t guarantee financial success, and if someone is convinced to come to Christ on that basis I would would question the genuineness of their conversion and the teaching. However congrats to this beautiful couple and their success 😌✊🏾
Using biblical wisdom and principles as it relates to money can lead to financial success. We have to keep in mind that Jesus spoke about money a lot. The problem is when we replace Him and make money our god and priority. Wealth without God often yields an empty life. What does it profit a man to gain the whole world and lose his very soul.
Well put, brother. Careful line we have to walk there. Success can help is get people's attention and we should give God the credit for it, but we need to make it clear we chose Jesus for salvation and because of his righteousness and love. We need to be clear serving God means sacrifice like the way they switched to abstinence while dating and the way he talked about protecting and providing for his family emotionally and spiritually. If they don't want that part, they will be disheartened quickly or fall for false teaching.

that 20:00 mark where she talks about the balance of work and home. I had a hard time doing that the first few years of marriage and would bring that leadership role home. My husband said keep that energy at your job! i finally got it and put on the wife and mom energy.

The problem is not submission but trusting who you have to give you wings to grow and live so that you an progress together.
If a woman feels safe with your choices & actions she will willingly submit.
This is one of the best episodes I have watched! It’s so refreshing as a single to hear a man say I need my wife and be vulnerable. Then to hear Ashley say she loves God more than being in sin. A very few walk the narrow path and I’m learning this everyday. We need to bring kingdom marriages on earth as it already is in heaven.

I've never actually heard a woman say, "I'm independent and don't need a man", but this is quoted non-stop. Where does it come from? I'm a female and this is not a train of thought me and my friends have.
I know plenty of women who constantly say this and they are still single.
I've heard it too.
I've heard a couple women say that but they have a history of experiencing pain and deception with men. Long story short, I don't think they actually mean the "I don't need a man" part. Ultimately, healing is fundamental to change such narratives.

So Im old enough to be all of ya'll mama, but it does my heart good to see that there are really some kids (and I mean that affectionally) that really do get it, and they dont have to go down the same road that many people my age have. They are determined to change the game. The are really choosing their destiny instead of continuing on the same paths of those before them and "hoping" it it will be different.... but we're not doing anything different. I had to pause at 22:00, I have to add, with the good person the submission comes naturally. In my past relationships I always felt like I need to fight, show my independance, show how strong I am. With my husband, the balance came naturally. At my job, I am still the strong woman but in our house I allow myself to be vulnerable, let my husband guides our family.
