I played PES from 2016 to now. I can confidently say I would rather play the offline versions of PES2016, 17, 18, and 19 over crappy eFootball. Both PES and FIFA used to be amazing games but both of them got much worse battling each other. Typing this as I play PES2019
I still feel pes is better than fifa. got fifa 23 last year, and within a couple months I was back on pes21. to me it's the best football game ever.
I still play 21 and occasionally 17 and 18. 24 is really good so far but without master league there’s no reason to play it
Next gen after PS2 killed them.... they tried something new...and failed soooo hard unfortunately...
PES 6 was the best football game ever. One feature I wish football games would bring back is being able to play an 11 v 11 match in training mode
I can’t remember but the pes with Rooney zlatan early Messi was great. How they did their stats for the players was great. I miss that game

Played it on ps1 and ps2 and fifa couldnt even came close but they fucked it up
PES lost the UEFA and CONMEBOL club competitions to FIFA and they were fun to play in PES, I prefer playing UEFA EURO in FIFA then PES because PES is messing it up since 2016 while in FIFA, UEFA EURO looks more complete. I just can't play these modern FIFA and PES games because they aren't fun anymore and that's why I prefer playing PES 5 and 6 because they were fun!
pes from 2010 until 2013 was way better than fifa but i think pes 2014 was the fall of pes until 2017 comes out

Pes 11,12,13 where the best. After 2014 it all went downhill. Why the fuck would they remove so many futures in master league.
Pes 15 and 16 where decent and pes 18 was good but 11,12,13 were masterpieces (For a football game )

I've been playing PES regularly since PES 3 and I agree with you 100%, the amount of features they removed from PES both gameplay and options is crazy, can you believe that in PES 3 players could get head injury and continue playing with a head bandage? they also removed classic national teams, a lot of extras, stadiums, balls etc you name it
i still play PES 2021. . .its the best out of all the PES games. . .Master League. . .,You wil never get bored

Don't forget about 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa, a FIFA game that puts both modern FIFA (now EAFC) and PES games to shame. That game was based on the old World Cup format but VASTLY improved on it by adding most of the qualifying rounds, 199 teams (all featuring real players and likeness), lots of stadiums, improved on FIFA 10's gameplay (an already great game), an improved Captain Your Country mode, the online FIFA World Cup/Battle of the Nations feature, "Story of Qualifying" (which itself was partially based on an old PES feature), one of the best sports game soundtracks ever, a great UI, and overall just a hugely replayable game. It was the passion project of the late great Simon Humber who sadly passed away of cancer in 2015. That was the moment EA Sports "won" the war.

@@Bairn1876 Compared to the level of the other games at the time it was amazing , graphics wise and gameplay was realistic. PES 2013 is an upgrade for the same game.

Not too sure? Konami never really invested in it and just let the standards drop over the years. I hear FIFA are looking for new developers for the FIFA series so maybe Konami can throw their hat in the ring?

@@michealkelly1414 you can still play with us in case you wanted to. Of the default players, Gerrard has the highest overall ratio in PES 5. Zidane is one of the strongest too. Pirlo isn't that strong stats wise, but he makes the difference definitely.
Out of curiosity, I looked up pes 5 player database, how is stevie G Gerrard got better stats than Zidane 🤣 still loved them games.

Initially PES was so much better than Fifa when it came out and was for so many years but Ffifa took so many stuff from PES and then adopted the PES formula to not invent the game each time instead just tweak and polish.

PES was the greatest games in the 00s. PES 3,4 & 6 were revolutionary. Pes5 they kinda ruined it. Everyone around that time know Pes was the best. Anyone that shoots with Square button on PlayStation on fifa was originally a Pes player
