Hey, falcons, the original title of Sorrow (also known as Sorrow for a Girl, Sorrow for Ukraine, In Green Ukraine, Ukraine) is a Polish song composed by Maciej Kamieński, the creator of operas and vaudevilles, around 1778
But hey man if you want some good songs for the Empire look up "unser libe frauen" and "Wir sind des Geyers Swartz haufen". Really anysong from like 1000 A.D to 1700 A.D Germany should give off good Imperial vibes.
@@jeanpierrezutter587 What nonsense. The words to the song "hey sokoly" were written by Maciej Kamieński in the 18th century! (Padura lived a hundred years later). Mickiewicz or Padura did not contribute a word to this piece! At best, Padura wrote music (although this is still too much to credit to him, because this piece was present in Polish culture decades before him). Please do not distort the history! And not attribute to someone else's achievements that are not his!
@@mateuszczok9436 !! Thank you very much for your comment !! Thanks to mention the name of Maciej Kamienski , now I have seen that he is mentioned in the article of the English wikipedia about Hej Sokoly !! About Mickiewicz I didn't wrotet that he contributed to Hej Sokoly, I only mencioned that Padura was also a translator, because he spoke and wrote fluently in Polish and in Ukrainian, and Padura translated poems of Mickiewicz in Ukrainian language !! Best greetings !!
I dont know how to feel about this i mean its awsome amd ukrainian cossacks scare the ever loving piss out of me but i dislike them for well hating everything i believe in

This song is mentioned often in a key scene in the novel, "Drive Your Plow Over the Bones of the Dead" by Olga Tokarczuk.
Not sure what the book is about but I am pretty sure I don't want to read it. She is known for bending the facts so hard they become a circle.
Why is this giving me Warhammer Empire vibes? THE NATION CALLS!!!
