r/maliciouscompliance - My BOSS got the NEW guy to do MY job...

- Storytime Reddit Stories r/maliciouscompliance where New boss demands I take my break correctly to the minute, I comply, pissing a customer off and getting a complaint in the process. New boss argues he never gave me such order, and now it's gone to HR. Manager thinks she can do my job quicker than me, embarrasses herself with a client and has to ask me to correct her mistakes, which takes much longer than if she'd let me handle this from the beginning. Get the new guy to do the order that requires perfection? Sure. Want me to feed my kid breakfast? Whatever you say.

I always told my lead "Do you want it quick, right or cheap. You can get one and MAYBE a second but you can't have all three." He quickly figured out that right was usually the correct response.
Story #2 there's an old saying I hold to "you want it done Fast! or do you want it done Correctly?"
Nothing wastes time like trying to save time.
Much like how there's nothing so childish as the fear of looking childish.
@DebbyAbqNM cheap and well-made anytime😂
If you want something bad, then that's how you will get it!
Warehouse story: the final sentence is true in any job. Good managers let experienced employees do their jobs. They let these employees tell them if there is a problem (manager listens well and does not insert himself unless asked) because these employees know what they are doing. The experienced employees know which co-workers are able to do their job and which co-workers are have limitations (you cannot give some employees complex tasks). If asked by manager, they will explain. Bad managers do not listen. Bad managers micromanage all employees (even if the manager does not know how to do the job himself) and often employees he assigns to complex tasks are not competent to do the tasks (they are undertrained/underexperienced). They nag all employees constantly just to assert that they are the manager (it's an ego thing). Because they are ignorant of the varying skill levels of their own employees, they are extremely poor managers and misuse the human resources assigned to them. Since that is, basically, a manager's job (effective use of human resources assigned to him/her), they are actually incompetent in their job.
Then there are the managers who are competent managers but they are cheap stingy bastards. Eventually no one wants to work for the cheap stingy bastard. They do not promote nor give good raises.
My first meal is always about 6-8 hours after I've woken up.
So and i , the only thing that i need in the morning is lot of water and coffee!
@@thodorossrx600 I only drink one coffee in the morning. Nothing else. Not even water.
When I was younger my breakfast consisted of black hot coffe and a sigarett. But we all know that is unhealthy. So I had to comply with my doctors orders, and skipped the coffe.
@@kjemma Hey, my breakfast is only coffee as soon as I get up from bed, cig only about an hour later.
I'm like the little kid in the last story. If I eat anything before 10am I will get sick. Been this way for 54 years.
Same here, I can’t eat till dinner time. Since I was younger anything I eat makes me sick and want to throw up,, anything warm and I feel like throwing up, anything cold and I feel like throwing up, I have found 2 meals a day works for me, the first around 5pm and the 2nd around 7pm. I’m only 41 and it’s been this way since around 15 or so. Been to Dr.s and specialist, have had cameras is more than one body entrance to look at my intestines. No ideas....
52 and the same here.
Same here. I'm 31 and I've always been that way too. I don't get sick but I just have zero appetite. I feel the same way about food after waking up as you do when you've eaten a full meal. I don't eat until mid afternoon at the earliest. I have plenty of reserves to keep me going despite missing breakfast, and I'm a nurse so you can bet I'd notice any drop in energy.
Love Malicious Compliance, especially when it gets the boss in trouble.
Luis Santiago not a reddit channel
I’m 90percent sure I got woooshed
Luis Santiago yt glitched and I was on a different vid with this comment section
@@rubydragon3738 yeah that happens to me. You on mobile because that's where I have the problem?
Luis Santiago yea
@@rubydragon3738 just run your thumb down the screen when that happens to reload it. That should fix it every time.
"And perform tasks as requested" is part of every job description I've ever had.
"take your break when you're supposed to. Why did you not help the customer when you took your break?" That's why i hate managers
Great group of stories today! Love seeing your videos come up in my notice list!
Where I live, daycare staff are trained to accommodate children who have special needs, meaning anything from allergies to disabilities, to cases like this last story. We even had a toddler that got cranky to the point of biting if he got hungry; so it didn’t matter what time of day, or if lunch was twenty minutes off, he was allowed to have a small snack to support his high metabolism. I have to say that, here where I live, that one wouldn’t be considered a very good daycare. XD
I can't eat in the morning. Makes me nauseous, every time. It's been that way for a very long time, about 20 years now.
Mike Meade I mean you can eat in the morning you just don’t want to
Yea if I don't mind the nausea.
I can't even get back to sleep if I wake up in the middle of the night and notice I'm hungry, let alone go hours after waking without food!
I CAN eat breakfast as soon as i wake up but i hate that (exeption => pain au chocolat micro wave style). So i normaly wait 1-2 hour before eating.
If I was the guy in the first story I would be proactive and contact HR first/myself with the evidence. Control the narrative.
If that was me I would have simply said 'ok let me stop at my desk for my proof that you demanded I do that' and when he tries backing down tell him 'to late either you go with me or they call you in to explain yourself.'
Going on four decades now and I still feel sick to my stomach if I have breakfast. I'll stick to just lunch and dinner, with the occasional brunch, thank you very much.
You want some cake? 🍰 WELL YOU CAN'T HAVE IT!!!
You won't give me some of YOUR cake? I'M GONNA SUE YOU

My son has never been able to eat anything the first 2-3 hours he's up, or he'll do the same thing. He's 27. But when he IS ready to eat, he'll chow down!! lol
I don't eat until mid afternoon even though I don't get sick or anything, just like when you're already full and someone offers you more food, that kind of feeling. One of my kids though will refuse to eat in the morning and more than once threw up when he ate too early. He's the same when he's ready though, he'll eat plenty enough for the rest of the day, and neither of us loses any energy. We do both have GERD but apart from that there is no problems/disorders/genetics that explains why this is.
Jake, you're lucky you CAN eat as soon as you wake up. I have underactive Thyroid. I have to take my meds as soon as I wake up, then wait 30-45 minutes before I can eat anything, or it'll mess up the meds.
About that last story, the kid throwing up if he ate too early. I was actually the same way when I was a kid. Used to have to get up at 5:30 am to catch the bus at 6 am for school. If I ate breakfast it always made me sick. I'm not sure why. Kinda grew out of it though. Also, great video as always man.
One of my kids is the same. He's 7 and he refuses to eat anything until mid morning (around 3 hours after waking up) so I usually pack him something a bit more substantial to eat at school when they have their break at 11am or a bit earlier if he needs it (thankful for this day and age where we "celebrate children's differences" at school now lol). He's got no issues with energy and his teachers have said he has no problems with attention in the mornings, but if someone forces him to eat he will throw up and then lag and feel miserable and achieving absolutely nothing! I am the same way, I don't eat until afternoon and I've always been like that, though when I was a kid I'd be fine after a couple of hours. I grew out of it in the respect that I no longer get sick, but I have no appetite at all but plenty of energy to keep my going until around 2 or 3pm so I'll prepare my son that he may be the same but hopefully he'll be like you.
I love the BS from the boss trying to get out of claiming ANY responsibility for being a douchenozzle. I have always been SUPER detail-oriented and have caught innumerable things that would have been a big problem, as well as called situations where I knew someone was going to try to throw me under the bus for installing something out of spec (which I had caught and asked about, making it the journeyman’s fault for telling me (an apprentice) to carry out the incorrect action). Sometimes people talk shit but screw them.
If i dont eat when i wake im a horrible person. Hangry doesn't describe it.
I need to have snacks in the middle of the night because of my fast metabolism.
And this shit is why im self employed.
I dont like eating early. Never feel hungry. I at breakfast in military Service, when in training or in operation, but otherwise I avoid it
I can't eat breakfast too early either. Nothing really before 9:00am without getting a stomachache. Then usually yogurt and a granola bar.
I also cannot eat anything right after i wake up, i also have a problem with bananas, i have to have something 2-3 times the volume of the banana or i throw it up
I can’t eat when I wake up either
I am an "adult" (or so I am told) and I dont like eating until at least a few hours after being up. I can eat but it dont feel right and I can easily feel heavy the whole day.
The first story is so underwhelming.
Yo, CZcams is getting out of control... There are MULTIPLE ADS IN ONE YELLOW DOT!!!! It's turning into cable TV!
Go watch cable TV. It's not even close.
@@RebelTvShka cable TV didn't have many ads 15 years ago, now it's 40% of the program.
the first manager sounded like scrooge, a whole lot like scrooge
Last Story: I have been both sickened when I eat in the morning & unable to function without breakfast at different periods of my life. It's all about what your body needs at the time
I never actually threw up, but sometimes my stomach would get super upset if I ate after waking up. I'm still that way to this day, just not as bad as when I was young. Cold/Sweet food seemed to sit better though, so things like cereal or sweeter fruit tended to be my go to.
13:50 - this is stupid. If the mom wants the daughter to eat outside of the normal snack timer feeding time, then the mom will need to bring a snack for the girl herself. She shouldn't expect the nursery to take care of it
This dude voice does so many things for me..
The last story is me except as a teenager and adult. If I'm lucky I can keep down a yop (yogurt drink) that's only like 100ml once I've been awake 2-3 hours I can typically eat. It's extremely rare I will eat earlier than 1 hour after waking up
I get a stomach ache if I eat before the gym in the morning
I still don't eat breakfast
Haven't eaten breakfast since I was like 12. I get like that kid if I ever try to nowadays. It's a habit you have to ease in and out of.
I have to eat once i wake up or else I'll bitch about it
Regarding the warehouse story, methinks it's an Australian story. Reason: the words 'rooted' and 'frog in a sock'
1:37 I was so confused when I heard the line "If I fart, I swear he'd expect me to somehow tell him it smells." That made zero sense.
Then I read the actual words: "...I swear he'd expect me to tell him how it smells." Ahhh, that makes sense.
Why the hell does this guy always replace words and phrases with his own?! And why does he never reply to messages when this is brought up? (Then again, sadly, he doesn't reply to any comments.")
He does reply sometimes but mistakes happen during reading. Would you rather him read it word for word purposely wrong or him improvise when he thinks it's wrong. Like if it had two the but he only said one.
Omg I had the same breakfast thing when I was a kid. I couldn't eat first thing in the morning without throwing up. I still have it, but it's a lot better and I usually just get nauseated. I never heard of anyone else having that problem
Anything eaten before 10 am comes up, i can drink a glass of liquid - that is it, later in the day, no problem - been like this for 40+ years now...
You're definitely not alone! When I was a kid I'd throw up if I ate within a couple of hours of waking up, but then I'd be totally fine. Now I'm 31 and I'm the same as you, it's heaps better. Now I just feel like I have no appetite at all until 2 or 3pm and then I eat fine again. My 7 year old son has been exactly the same since he was about 3. No answers as to why, just it is what it is!
Im 31 and still get nauseous if I eat first thing in the morning. I need to be awake for at least 4 or 5 hours before I can eat lol
I enjoyed most of the video.
But that first story didn't have an ending. That just sucks. You, one of the few people who reads it in a natural voice which is great, got me all invested in the story..... but there was no pay off.
Can you please only cover stories that have concluded in the future? :-)
I can not start the day without eating something. It is like my body runs on 50% power, until I eat bread with some Salami. While I can understand Vegetarians, I can not really live without my meat.
if i go to long without eating i start dry heaving and vomiting stomach acid
I cant eat in the morning either, not that I'll vomit or anything but I'm just not hungry most of the time, like my breakfast is around 11 or 12 am

Some people are just so stupid
I'm really tired of MC stories that are just my boss told me not to do x so I didn't. That is just compliance.
Hi
i demand you to tag my comment or i will sue you
He didn't tag you
You do good vids bro
I'm sorry but I like DarkFluff better
I like Storytime better. What is the point of either your comment or mine?
its crazy that someone can simply read someone else's Reddit post and get 40k views in less than 24hrs, back in my day you had to work for click and ad revenue lol ;)
Regardless of when "back in my day" is for you, I guarantee you business has been run by the same method since very much before you were born. People find a market, or create one (in this case 1: People's laziness in not wanting to find and read posts in this "highlights only" world and 2: The fact that the majority of the demographic spend a significant part of their day with earbuds in listening to things like this while they're doing other things) and then cater to that market. As long as people like others doing the searching and reading for them the need will exist. It's not the youtuber who's not working here, it's us!
