The intercooler on the MY15 WRX FA 20 engine is different to EJ20 ,EJ25 models and with this NEW DESIGN can benefit from increased flow and increased cooling.

i like this .keeps the car looking sleeper with no big i/c showing at the front and no cutting front bars to fit
First of all, Verticooler is an AMAZING product. I am sure other brands that use the same design will function very well too. My only issue is the installation for the USDM WRXs, requires more work and relocation of certain cables in order for this to fit. Tools were not included so it made installation VERY difficult thinking I had everything I needed. I ended up taking the car to Cobb Socal where they installed it for me, they had to drill new holes to shift the intercooler 1/2"-1" to the left to make clear the BPV. Been using the intercooler for over a year now, pushing 300awhp on 91oct on conservative tune, no issues what so ever.
Looking forward to getting this in a couple of weeks. I have your 3" SS system on MY16 WRX and love it.

On an earlier video you said that wasn't a substantial improvement. That's pretty spot on. I think I might stick with what the Subaru engineers have come up with.

The IC looks like a burnt piece of toast in a toaster oven. This is a poor location for A/A IC, however it is fine if this were an A/W design with a high flow water pump.
will this fit the 2015 subaru wrx cvt? i hear some fitment issues with the cvt.

Does it knock, rub or heat the underside of that cowl, looks like its always touching.
Also is it hard up against the pitch stop mount behind? I have an aftermarket pitch stop mount which would give a few mm less clearance than stock.

Will it be safe to drive in the rain with this intercooler? The reason I ask is cause parts look more expose than with the stock intercooler.

remember your intercooler is exposed by the hood scoop anyway in the rain. If anything the rain just cooks off the IC better lok

Fmic creates delayed throttle response. Tmic is awesome when set up correctly to avoid heatsoaking.
