I'm with you on that. It's very clear he was meant to be for something but whatever happened, the genetics didn't work well. I would like to see how the breeder looks without their eyes.... That nasty person needs to learn a lesson!
Indeed, every 'pure-bred' dog is essentially a textbook case of inbreeding to retain certain features. Good breeders know how to keep these congenital defects to a minimum, while those with less scruples will just 'dispose' of the ones with obvious defects, such as the poor pup in this case. At least he'll never know what it's like to be able to see, which is somewhat of a blessing here, perhaps...

Los perros/as por naturaleza tienen un olfato excelente y muy fino. Ya que Benji no ve, este sentido sera de excelencia y lo va a orientar en la vida, por ahora es torpe porque es un adolescente. Ojala encuentre alguien que lo ame tal cual es : con su nariz de corazon, 🖤 bellisimo y cariñoso.

There is nothing wrong with having a blind/sightless dog. My last pug was blind when I adopted him. Mr Bubba loved to go walkies, car rides an adventuring. He went almost every where with me. He trusted me, and I learned how to communicate with him. Bubba had beds in almost every room because he was my shadow. The beds were his safe place in the rooms (my office, my bedroom , the family room, etc.
All of you guys are just wonderful people. I was so happy for the puppy, but I am also glad we have people like you guys in the world.

Benji has one other secret weapon: his whiskers,they can help him walk seemingly normaly around familiar place,using his whiskers he can sense vibrations coming from environment which in turn alows him to avoid obstacles once he gets familiar with his environment. He will be fine, all he needs now is his human to take care of him with his condition in mind.

OMG!!! What an odd condition. Poor baby. I am so glad the man rescued him from that busy road!!! I don't know how he survived.
