Just rocked the Can AM demo- rolling on the Sea to Sky RT this weekend and cannot wait to put a deposit on the '22 Limited! Wife was so very excited after the half hr trip we took. She couldn't stop mentioning how relaxed she felt vs our Harley.
Coach Vic I got my 2018 RTL on Dec 27. It was -7 out and I had to ride it!!! Yes it was cold but it was Amazing best decision I’ve ever made!!!!
Cyndi Brierly ...Brrrsss that is cold!! I don’t think I’ll ever complain about 50 degrees ever again!! Ha!! But after a really hot day in Texas on our Tallahassee to San Diego trip, I appreciate the cold a lot more!! How’s the riding been the last few months??

My wife had many concerns and doubts when I started talking about buying a Spyder. 100% agree with CB3, my wife and I look forward to go on a ride on Spyder in Spring, Summer, Fall and in Winter sometimes we talk about our Spyder adventure and future trip that we want to do... it's just true freedom in safer way. If you thinking of buying a CAN AM Spyder then "Just Do It" you will not regret it. If you thinking of buying used one (Like I did) may be CB3 can do a CZcams on different Specs on older Spyder and Newer Spyder engines. cheers!!
Great video, I just bought 2019 F3 last Sept, my main reason is because my wife won't ride on the back of my 2 wheeler. So this year she is excited to get on the Spyder. Truth be told, I prefer to ride my Spyder over my 2 wheeler, single or pillion

Your right on point with the Can Am. Again been on a Harley all my life but last year at age 64 I was thinking of a trike because hey Im a Harley guy. Took a trike for a test ride and I thought no way am I going to fight with this thing going around curves it was awful. Saw some Can Am at a gas station talked to them and thought I will take a test ride on one. We have a couple of dealers here in town so I did get to ride one (without the wife) I came home with it and sold my Harley Ultra. So with only about a 1000 miles now on it, it has been great and the wife is now mad at me for not get one way before now. We also took long trip on the Harley and yes your right by the time we got to our hotel for the night I was exhausted. With our Harley the wife would later say did you see that or that in the hills and I would always no I was always focused on driving now Im very relaxed riding this and now I get to see the scenery as well. I love hearing stories like this. I was so hesitant to buy one. It has been a total game changer for us. We absolutely love the freedom and flexibility the CanAm provides.

Hey coach Vick and coach Bob this is Cadillac Mike we enjoy touring on our Can-Am the longest trip we have done was from Atlanta to Orlando Florida was not tired at all we have also done some bucket list rise in one of those were Iron Butt challenge it was fun but since virus outbreak it gave me an opportunity to work on some mods on the bike and trailer maybe that would be a good topic for you guys ask some of you your subscribers to send you some pictures of some mods that they have done to their Spyder I enjoyed you guys video and I am a subscriber so thank you for getting a spider now welcome to the Can-Am family....😁😷👍

Coach Bob & Vic, I'm very excited to subscribe to your channel! My wife, and I, took delivery of our new 2019 RTL Dark (orange) just this week. We did our inaugural ride last night after I installed the aftermarket armrests (Slingmod). I haven't ridden in 42 years so I have to buy all new gear (saved my two leather jackets from the old days, tho). This Can-am is the BOMB! My wife will not even consider a two wheeler but our friends took her for a ride on their touring F3 and she was hooked! I seized the moment and we now have a beautiful Can-am setting in the garage!
I do have a question and I have not done my homework on this, I came across a statement on a forum where a fellow said that he simply added a charging cable extension from the USB in the frunk and ran it up to his mounted phone going under panel/s. Have you heard of this or have you done this (I think he said it was 7in)? You see, I'm incurring a lot of expense getting ready to ride (go figure, a month ago riding was not even a thought to me) so I want to try to keep it low-dough. So it seems that just installing a ram mount and using the existing USB in the frunk could save some time/trouble/dough. Love your channel and I need to figure out the 'notify' on CZcams.

On the USB connection. Here is what I did. It is very inexpensive.. it is an easy job, a tad time consuming (a couple of hours). But. Very easy.

Nice job you guys, as a life time rider and safety rider couch plus a stroke patient in 2019 and deciding that my riding days are not over I’m looking at the Can-Am and is very convinced this is the right choice.Thank you guys for all of your information hopefully 2021 I’ll be doing the same thing on a new 2021 spider I did a solo trip on my Harley Road King from New Jersey to Florida looking to do the same thing on the Can-Am To bike week!

Great review Coach Vic, another point is the passenger can get on and off the Spyder and the driver doesn't have to balance the bike like you would on a 2 wheel. My wife Lynn enjoys the Spyder more than she did 2 wheels for all the reasons you pointed out.Be safe and keep on posting.
Absolutely. When we were looking at 2 wheelers. That was Coach Vic’s biggest fear. Me just dropping the bike over on her leg. That would be catastrophic for us ...

With an RT and a trailer you are definitely set for the long rides. My other half does not ride and my trips are usually shorter than some of yours but being in the wind is a great way to get out, especially during the "lock down". Fortunately, since our governor published the order, he made lots of exceptions and being in the wind is one of them, just like going for a long walk. Be safe, be well and have fun!

Love you guys. My wife and I took the safety course and fell in love with the Spyder. We do not have any prior riding experience on 2 or 3 wheels, other than I rode a friends dirt bike once or twice for a total of 7 minutes when I was a kid. We purchased a 2020 RTL and it was just delivered to the shop Tuesday. Should have it home in the next week or two. Waiting on some accessory installations. Keep the vids coming. My wife and I are looking forward to riding together and we may be fighting for who gets to drive each time. Might have to rock, scissors, paper it! Stay safe!

You spoke about riding in the cold. Can you share what you do in the heat of the summer to improve the airflow to rider and pillion? Love the videos and the great content.
Rex Vaughn .... I ride with light material flannel shirts. Jackets are way too hot { for me}. If I ride with just short sleeves, I feel hotter cause the sun beams on my arms making it feel hotter.. Ha! Also, if it gets too hot, I wet my Survivor buff and wipe down and wrap it around my neck. I haven’t tried a cooling vest, yet. After a real hot day in Texas on our cross country trip, I’ve learned to appreciate the cold weather a bit more!! I’d love to go without a helmet, I’d be much cooler, but I still opt to wear a helmet. Hope this info helps.
Coach, look on Amazon for the armrest for the RT. They are lot more reasonable. Also, I had my RT for over 2 years and didn't know that you could open the frunk with it running. Thanks for that info.

Coach Vic, I am hoping you can give some insight on how riding on the back of a trike vs Spyder compares. I test rode on the back of a trike and it made me nauseous. The Road Glide or other 2 wheels don’t bother me. I can’t test ride a Spyder until Spring as there is snow on the ground now. I really appreciate all the videos. I have switched from wanting a Ryker to a used Spyder. Thank you for your time and help.

Bill Williams we are. Man the BRP’s are 340 bucks. Ouch. I’m looking at maybe doing the install myself. I’ve watched a few videos on it. Just trying to determine what the next piece of the puzzle is for us.
CoachBob, I went after market for our arm rests and installed them myself. I kept them lose enough that they swing out of the way for the passenger.
Yes, the price is atrocious, you might be able to find an after market better and cheaper for your 2019, from what I see, the BRPs do not open wide enough and cramps the mount and dismount for the passenger. For the 2020, there are no after market arm rests yet.

Have you made any suspension upgrades or are you still running factory suspension?
I recently had my air ride suspension worked on and it was suggested to upgrade to the Baja Ran sway bar which I did.
I was blown away at the difference in the performance and ride and so was my wife.
My wife loves the ride on our 2012 RTL. In fact I've had her almost fall asleep several times. Lol
I haven't yet... It is in the future, I'm just not sure when yet. We are having so many expenditures just getting it suitable for touring with Coach Vic.
The Baja Ron sway bar will happen eventually though. That's for sure.
I've caught Coach Vic sleeping as well....zzzz

If I remember right y'all live in Tallahassee. Just wanted to say that is a beautiful area. My wife is a NICU travel nurse. We spent three months there and was there when hurricane Michael hit. We love that hole area.

Just received my Centramatic balancers for my Spyder, will let you know how they work. I want the smoothest ride possible so I'm hoping this does the job.

@@CoachBob3 I will, planning on installing the two fronts tomm (myself). The rear one wont go on till I need to replace the rear tire. Dealers want 250.00 + just to install the rear one. Having the two on front should improve the ride considerably. Will keep you posted.

So I bring home my 2020 RTL on this past Tuesday;, and it’s rained every day since, and we have three more days of rain... nothing like sitting on it in the garage , with nothing to do but learn all the gadgets and buttons. Wiped it down three times already; and I can’t figure out where to hang my “gremlin bell”...
