Jim Hughson is arguably the worst commentator in sports. I can't stand him and the fact that I have to listen to him during Leafs broadcasts drives me insane. Next to Bob and Harry, Joe Bowen was the best. I miss listening to him and I'm sure the rest of Leafs Nation does, too.
I love the way Brown reacts to the goal. Just like a kid. Gotta love how enthused this Leafs team is. It's something the Maple Leafs have been missing for over a decade.

Cliff Fletcher is one of the finest gentlemen you could ever wish to meet. A complete class act, and a brilliant hockey mind. His '93 Leafs would have won that cup but for the criminal incompetence of Kerry Fraser. Fletcher was in on other Cups with other teams however, and will be again with these Leafs very soon.

After Guentzel put the Pens up in the 3rd, he sent me a text saying he was selling all his Leafs shit. Once Brown scored the winner and Matthews hit the empty net, I responded to him saying I'd buy it all for $15,000.00. He turned the offer down.

Towards the end of the game, I got up and was pacing back and forth, because of the intensity ,then I started scratching my ass and pulled out a buddle of hair(I have long hair) at that moment kapenen scored, the rest was history go leafs go
Beat the Stanley Cup champions to send them to the playoffs with their back up goalie having to come in part way through. Amazing game. Could have gone either way against Washington as well. Everyone says they want Joe Bowen back on TV but he did games on live TV for years and like any of the commentators I eventually grew tired of him. Don't get me wrong I love the guy. He is probably the biggest Leafs homer there is. But I am sure after another year or two on TV you guys will be calling for his head. I love him on the radio. Feels so nostalgic listening to him on radio. The way it should be. Loved listening to him this year in the car during the outdoor classic and having all the other cars honk their horns when Mathews scored the winner. I say lets keep him on radio.
i just hope the leafs get together this up coming season heaven for bid they i hope get over this curse of not making pass the first round i,m so so sick and tired of it they haveto address the defense and heavenforbid they resign campbell and what not but lets hope when free agency opens up the leafs are making some moves here
i don't think it will be a sweep but it will be a hard series for the leafs to win. If Kadri can get under Ovechkin's skin enough to throw him off this series than we might have a better chance. A lot of things need to go right for the leafs to win this series but at the end of the days i'm just glad the kids will get playoff experience and don't have to spend another year watching them.
