    The Nintendo 3DS is a handheld game console produced by Nintendo. The console was announced in March 2010 and unveiled at E3 2010 as the successor to the Nintendo DS. The system features backward compatibility with Nintendo DS video games. As an eighth-generation console, its primary competitor was Sony's PlayStation Vita.

    I just got a used New 3DS LL Japanese import to mod out because used New 3DS here in the states are so over priced it's crazy. I modded it to a USA firmware and then started filling it with games and now I have over 140 games mixed from 3DS, DS, NES and GBA and the fact it was so easy to mod that I recommend everyone to do it now that the eShop is closed

      Can you confirm, after swapping regions were you able to get things like spotpass, and street pass to work in games?
      How about Yoshi’s new island?

    There's one 3DS Homebrew I'd recommend especially if you have a N3DS XL (or LL). And that would be:
    FTPD
    This allows you to make use of an FTP client on your computer, and wirelessly transfer files between your computer and 3DS without having to remove the SD Card which can be a PITA if you have the model where you have to unscrew the back plate off to get to it. Transfer speeds aren't the fastest, but it is still faster than doing that every single time you want to transfer files. Large files can take a little bit of time, such as the DS romhack "Pokemon Blaze Black 2 Redux" which is a whopping 512 MB which is almost twice the size of regular Black 2.

      @arcyarcanine Před rokem +2

      Bruh, the New 3DS line already has that in the settings by default. LMAO
      FTPD's wireless file transfer is for the original line, not the New 3DS line.

      @@arcyarcanine That's news to me. I spent several hours browsing GBATemp looking for this method you speak of, and never found it. So I settled on FTPD.

    i believe anything above 32gb will lower the performance a little on the 3DS. Getting a 32gigs SDHC is fine for most people (plus requires no formatting and no known bugs), you can get a dozen large 3ds games downloaded with that, and youre not going to play them all at once.

    • @davidtimoteo1912
      @davidtimoteo1912 Před rokem +3

      I got 128gb and runs no problem

    • @Big-Chungus21
      @Big-Chungus21 Před rokem +1

      @@davidtimoteo1912 i believe the differences are quite small especially on the “new” versions, it mostly just slows down startup times and some of the heavier games though. The big differences happen when you have lots of games downloaded on said SD card.

    • @arcyarcanine
      @arcyarcanine Před rokem +4

      Anything larger than 32gb will slow down the home menu because it's searching for more games on bigger storage. HOWEVER, it does not effect the games themselves once you're playing them.

    • @GamersChoiceYouTube
      @GamersChoiceYouTube  Před rokem +4

      For me, having 128GB, no gameplay issues. Only difference is the 3DS takes 30-40 sec to load up the home menu when you first turn it on.

    • @xt3100
      @xt3100 Před rokem +1

      it does, it slows it down when loading games and menus but running games its no problem

    Do DS games look better on the new 3DS XL lol thinking of getting one of these and modding it and using it for some of the physical DS games I already have lol.

    • @Akshuls
      @Akshuls Před rokem

      No its about the same just newer games you cant play on o3ds, and some homebrew apps only for the N3DS. Emulators do run better on N3DS.

    • @arcyarcanine
      @arcyarcanine Před rokem

      The New 3DS line just has better processing power, meaning things will load faster and certain 3DS games like Smash Bros., Hyrule Warriors, the Gen 7 Pokémon games, etc. will run smoother and have a few added details (more NPCs or objects on screen, less choppy frames, etc.) than they would have on an original 3DS line system.
      Your DS games will look the same, it can't magically make the resolution more than what they can originally output as. I suggest emulation on a hefty gaming PC if you really want to play DS and 3DS games in HD.

    • @GamersChoiceYouTube
      @GamersChoiceYouTube  Před rokem +1

      It doesn’t really look “better”, more so just runs better on the 3DS.
