If you would rather join a tour to see these amazing waterfalls, check this out! This is a guided tour, all planned for you!
We're currently living in a camper van and traveling ICELAND!
We're starting out our Iceland Road Trip strong, by heading to some of Iceland's most INCREDIBLE waterfalls! These are all accessible by day trip from Reykjavik, so they're very popular. Since we're traveling in 2021, and arrived later in the day, we didn't see many tours! Our first stop was Seljalandsfoss - the waterfall you can walk BEHIND in Iceland! This waterfall is so beautiful, and on a clear day, surrounded by rainbows which just add to the beauty. It's free to visit, but parking does cost around $7! Next, we took the trail left from Seljalandsfoss to see Gljufrabui! Glujfrabui waterfall is a hidden waterfall in a cave (with many false entrances). Walking into the cave and seeing the waterfall for the first time in an out of this world experience! It doesn't feel real, and takes your breath away.
Our last waterfall of the day (because we will be seeing MANY more in Iceland!) is Skogafoss! Skogafoss waterfall is another iconic Icelandic waterfall. This 60m (~200 ft) tall waterfall is extremely impressive and can be seen down the road. We climbed the ~almost 500 steps to the top of the waterfall to look down at the drop. This is well worth the climb! After spending a good amount of time here and filling up on water, we headed farther south, which will be in the next video! Don't forget to subscribe to see that video :)
