Very practical and finally a channel with very creative musical application of all kinds of voicings, which are quite easy to understand. Is it in increasing difficulty? I find it that the mccoy tyner voicings are somewhat easier than the count basie stuff. Maybe because I already know the concept of the pentatonic voicings, I was looking for the application. The red garland style rootles stuff is also great as a next step.

I always try to find some good backing tracks on CZcams, and for this video I used these backing tracks: czcams.com/video/IvmNbimwgLc/video.html, czcams.com/video/bx23Cl6QGJk/video.html, and some of the backing tracks were made with iReal Pro (great program to work with!)
Hi, thanks for your comment! The AI+ or AH you read, is bad handwriting on my part. :-) It is actually ALT, which is short for altered. It means you can alter the extensions 9,11,13
Hi, you’re right, the sound is quite distorted at half speed! You could look for another slower backing track on youtube to play along and practice the voicings, or you could download the video from youtube and play it through a program like “amazing slow downer” or “transcribe”,.. it might sound better!
There's so much material on soloing and so little on comping. This channel is changing my life! I cannot overstate how much I appreciate it.
