  • I posted a similar video to this previously and the finished product was not great. This is how it actually looks versus the quick video job I did before.
The key is knowing the dimensions of the hinge and using the correct bit and measurements to get this to come out right. I used the 10 mm bit for the 13 mm wide piece

Finally, a how-to video done right-no unnecessary comments, no annoying music, no wasted time. Just direct, simple and very helpful. Thank you!

I just love finding a channel where the "talking head" in the video...FROM THE BEGINGING...!!!...doesn't ack like a "know it all" and clearly states that what they are doing is "how they do it" but that there are other methods...EXCELLENT...!!!
I've been using the domino system for hidden hinges for over 20 years. I actual spoke and worked with SOSS in the 90s to get certain sizes which they had. Not too popular in the U.S. as much of is metric but that is all I work in anyway because its just a easier and more accurate system of measure (in my way of working.)
Great video, and looking forward to reviewing more...!!!

Thanks! I generally do shorts because of the time commitment but there are so many ways to do the same thing!
That is so cool that you talked with them and came up with this way of doing it! It really makes it so easy

I like the pvc trick, very nice, but can I ask why the top is hinged if all it reveals is a solid surface below? It doesn’t reveal anything? No access or hidden pockets? Am I missing something?
Great work on the adaption of the tool though!

I did not post the whole piece this is made for - the door of this cabinet flips up to make a table or closes like a door. In order to accomplish both and have it look like a cabinet I have to be able to move this piece out of the way. But I don’t want visible hinges on the top
