- This is an experimental nature sound that utilizes visualization. The sound of a thunderstorm rolling in over a haunted ghost town in the old west. We combined sounds effects, background sounds and nature sounds to tell a story without words. Presented by www.virtualdreamer.com

I just love these VirtualDreamer sleep sounds. I went over and bought 4 today and immediately went for a nap. Hey! I'm OLD!! I played The Wooden Ship and slept so well. Ah, what a pleasure. I don't remember when I slept so well. I like this one, too. It's very atmospheric.

Maybe I'm Amazed
Hi! Those were my first two downloads also. I haven't had trouble falling asleep or staying asleep since. I just value that so much, as I can tell you do. There just aren't any obtrusive sounds to break up the peace. I wish I had found Virtual Dreamer in 2011...I would have had a lot more sleep. I wonder how many other "dreamer" there are out there. Take care and sleep well and long. :)

I love at the beginning when he goes inside and all the music and people sounds go away. Then the piano hits a few notes and he goes back outside. Lol. Nope, no ghost piano for this cowboy haha.

I don't have to imagine, I work at an actively haunted 19th century ghost town in Arkansas, and have been there during all sorts of weather. That said, I really enjoyed this video. Great job with the effects.

I remember going to Bodie as a kid back in the 1960's, before it really became commercialized. My brother had found a old pan that looked like it could been used for gold, and there was a bullet hole in it. I remember there was some white lace curtains blowing though a broken glass window in one of the old abandoned buildings. It really had made a deep impression on me...
I can't express how great this is. I wish you had created more like this, telling a story purely through sound effects.

Impressive. Felt like I was there. Even felt a little nervous. I was surprised by how well my mind recognized sounds, the saloon first, then the general store, etc. I knew exactly where I was the whole time.
Caleb Carroll No he didn't go into a general store,it was a hotel. He then went up the stairs an went into one of the rooms to get some rest. The bell on the counter was used to try to get someone's attention but there is no one in the place.

just love the sound of the spurs and the rifle being cocked and the hand gun chamber being twirled.Anybody comes into the room they gonna get a load a lead.Now I'm gonna settle down in this here bunk and get me some rest.

could you make a longer version of this? I use your 8 hour videos as a sound machine to go to sleep, and i really like this kne, it just isnt long enough! A longer one would be greatly appreciated, but if not, keep up the good work! Ive yet to find a bad video on your channel!

If you make an 8 hour version, it should end with the storm fading, have his footsteps return to his horse and ride away, then the piano and the ghostly laughter should start up again as it fades out.

Idenisse Mendez - Unfortunately all we got in this here general store is beans and hardtack. Yep, this town has never been the same since the civil war. With a bit of luck, we should be expecting a new shipment on Tuesday. God can only hope.

A lonely man rides a horse near the old ghost town of Promontory, Utah. The town is a small and deserted area. The man looks around and a storm comes in.
Say, ever thought of maybe combining a thunderstorm with with a blizzard/snowfall? 'Cause see, I've heard of rare events called Thundersnows...
You could always open two videos... one with snow and one with thunder. Just a thought :)

I have a highly active imagination, which prevents me from falling asleep, but that inability to fall asleep while listening to these Virtual Dreamer soundscapes is what allows me to visualize a plot insertion into a fan-made intergalactic furry/Pokemon action-adventure fantasy fiction book (For mature teens) that I am writing on my 2009 Blackberry Curve 8900. This particular book, at this point, may incorporate a futuristic rendering of the town as it takes place in the distant future in a dimension where the Library of Alexandria was completely untouched, as we are seen hopping between planetary systems as though we were just going to the local grocery store.
I imagine the Gunslinger stories by S. King.
