This Isn’t the Day For Being Mr. Nice Guy - Tim Conway

  • We’re often told that we need to love and be nice, and usually, the world and our culture defines this as not offending people or telling them that they’re wrong. But we can’t let the world define for us what love is, and we can’t succumb to the pressure they may try to put on us to conform to their standards and ideas. This isn’t the day for us to be Mr. Nice Guy; it’s the day for us to proclaim the truth that people need to hear in order to be saved.

Being “nice” is not to condone sin. To really love someone, is to be graceful and honest.

It seems more believers are not wanting to offend people because they are afraid to stand in the truth of Jesus Christ. I’ve been accused of being unloving when I share the law and gospel, that’s not the way I’d do it I’m told. My response is what are you doing to advance the Gospel? Then I hear nothing from their response...

Tim I absolutely love this video!!! I am a pharmacist and a biologist and a scientist (holding 3 degrees!). I completely concur with you. Please get on a national network and say this exactly. Billions will scream in hell begging for Christ and it will be too late!!! It is terrifying that Ishmael was allowed to live and give rise to so many doomed people. Hell is incomprehensible in size and horror. Thank you for trying to get the warnings out!!!

I love to hear preaching like this. The sword of the Spirit, the word of God, the truth is offensive. It's meant to be. It's supposed to wound. It's supposed to hurt. That's what a sword does and is meant to do. Cut men to the heart! If handled correctly with the anointing and power of the Holy Spirit, it convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment. We need skilled swordsman, O God! 🙏✝️

This message is so timely as I been witnessing to my Muslim sister and freind (more of a acquaintance). There's days where I'm really straight forward about the truth and times when I feel like stepping back, but then I realize these ladies are being under the influence of Satan (no matter how nice they are) and I'm given the boldness to speak the truth in love ... thankfully these girls are open minded thus far and are curious about the Gospel , please pray for their Salvation and for me to continue speaking the truth with boldness and in love. We need to be about The Father's business. 🙌🏼
These ladies also believe we have very common beliefs. They say they love Jesus and Mary , but deny our Lord's deity 😭 , so lots of seeds need to be planted there. 🙏🏽

Zuri B stay at it. It can be frustrating at times. I’ve tried sharing my faith with Hindu neighbors years back but of course they rejected it. But they were the nicest , caring, loving neighbors. They owned a gas station in town, hard working folks from India. It’s sad to think many nice folks are lost. I have an atheist friend who helps people lose weight and helps them with healthier lifestyles. They go on bike rides, walks and hikes and raise money for diabetes awareness and research! It’s incredible by someone who told as I tried to share my faith with her: “ James, you are not going to convince me.” I think to myself, why more Christians don’t do good like that? It’s not by works as the Bible says but we should be doing good with our neighbors. Sweet, caring people on there way to hell.

The difficulty for not being too nice is not to fall to another extreme and fall into being too brutal, too condemning. It is difficult to stay on that exact right condition where you are being loving toward the person but not compromising with the truth.

    3:15
I had just read through John 5 before watching this video, and this part of it certainly made me think more of what Jesus said in that chapter.
'But you do not have His word abiding in you, because whom He sent, Him you do not believe. You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me. But you are not willing to come to Me that you may have life.'
    John 5:38-40
It's interesting how much people accept every religion in the world, but they'll completely reject Jesus for who He truly is, and yet He's the only physician that this sick and dying world will ever have. Many people seem to look for another even in light of the truth that Jesus is the only answer.

Look up answers in genesis with Kent ham. You don't need less science, you need science that's submitted to the word of God.
Also, remember the man who said Lord i beleive, help my unbelief. You might not beleive yet, but ask for help and you'll find it.
Finally, remember thst Jesus said if you love mother or father or sister or brother more than him you're not worthy of the kingdom if heaven. Yeah, be ready to cut people away if it means salvation.
Btw worthy doesn't mean you earn it, it just means you're open to receiving him. Worthy as in deserving would leave everybody damned.

Question : Is playing violent video games, Such call of duty considered sinning? What about police sims? Sure there’s shootouts, And what not. But Mathew 5:9 “Blessed are the peacekeepers, For they shall be called the children of god”

In my humble opinion I would say no to violent shooters. Very rarely do people play COD to virtually keep peace. Most play to shoot as many people, and I think it violates Mathew 6:22. Do your own research though

I think about this often, not specifically this question but on the same principle. 1 Corinthians 10:31 So, whether you eat or drink, whatever you do, do all to the glory of God. Can you honestly do it unto the Lord? If you can then go for it.
Here's another thought and perspective. On your deathbed are you really going to be wishing you played more of that video game, watched that movie, or finished more episodes of that one TV show? That was convicting for me. God bless.

    • @anastazjamalczyk7683
      @anastazjamalczyk7683 Před 3 lety +2

      Dear "Hello" :)
Think about this that way : anything that is outside of Jesus is not worth anything. Anything that cannot be done together with Him is simply not worth pursuing. In Him there is everything, ask Him to open your eyes to His beauty and worthiness and see how satisfying He really is. It is in His presence that the fullness of joy is found (Psalm 16:11).
It is not that we cannot enjoy playing sports, board games, eating yummy food, or even watching sth on the TV. But this life is so short, there is a great God who is beyond wonderful and He wants us to really know Him and make Him known to others. He has a purpose and significance to give to each of us, but we need to set our hearts on seeking Him wholeheartedly.
In my own case I found some valuable answers to similar questions on DesiringGod.com website- there are countless resources and precious insights by John Piper and other contributors. The one that comes to my mind right now is a similar question that somebody asked about watching TV or entertainment. Just type the topic you want to explore in the search box there or scroll through their list of topics (there are soo many) and I am sure you will find answers to many a question :)
And above all, seek God, " in whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge" (Colossians 2:3)
Blessings my friend and may the Lord be gracious to you and lead you in the right paths! :)

We want to make sure we remain balanced. Matthew 11:29 has Christ saying, "I am gentle and lowly in heart." So to dogmatically say Christ was NEVER nice is to go too far. Christ perfectly responded how he should in the situation. I would encourage you to hear a sermon that was preached on the perfect balance of Christ: czcams.com/video/MDCHwsty9yY/video.html

@@illbehonest your right, I don't mean to sound harsh. He had compassion on the multitude, grieved over them having no shepherd etc. But these days the Truth of the gospel is shut down by the accusations that Christians are not nice by making a stand against sin. Jesus was the epitome of love, but not a respecter of persons.

  • @briendoyle4680

Now let's tell you a story about a man named Jesus:
    A god assaulted, by proxy,
inseminated a 'virgin' named Mary, in order to bring his son incarnate into our world.
    A cowardly action....
    Mary and her fiance?,
....Joseph, had to travel to Bethlehem to register for the census.
There Mary gave birth to a son of a god.?
God put a star in the sky to guide people to the baby?
In a dream God told Joseph to take his family to Egypt.
Then this God stood by and watched as Herod killed thousands and thousands of babies in Israel in an attempt to kill Jesus. (wow!)
As a man, God's son claimed that he was God incarnate: "I am the way, the truth and the life," he said.
This man performed many 'miracles'. He healed lots of sick people. He turned water into wine. These miracles prove that he is God? Miracles??
But he was eventually given the death sentence and killed by crucifixion.
His body was placed in a tomb.
But three days later, the tomb was empty.
And the man, alive once again but still with his wounds (so anyone who doubted could see them and touch them), appeared to many people in many places.
Then he ascended into heaven and now sits at the right hand of his god the father almighty, never to be seen again.
Today you can have a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus.
You can pray to this man and he will answer your prayers.
He will cure your diseases, rescue you from emergencies, help you make important business and family decisions, comfort you in times of worry and grief, etc.
This man will also give you eternal life, and if you are good he has a place for you in heaven after you die.
The reason we know all this is because, after the man died, four people named Matthew, Mark, Luke and John wrote accounts of the man's life. Their written attestations are proof of the veracity of this story.
This is the story of a Jesus. ""
    Do you believe this story?
    You are Delusional !!~!
*However any debate on this is useless - since a god needs to be proven - First.
However, .... any debate on this is useless, since a god
needs to be proven - First.
    FIRST !!!
