  • In this final video in his series, Ernesto expands and orchestrates his score cue, showing many of Dorico’s useful editing commands for moving, duplicating and transposing music. Learn some tips and tricks for formatting your full score and instrumental parts making them ready for performance, then see how easy it is to export all parts at once to PDF, as well as exporting audio stems for mixing, and MIDI for further editing in a DAW such as Cubase.

    Great tips for writing, Ernesto. I use the copying to other parts also. Like the 2/4 bars being added. I did this once. I've seen all the different meters added in a Film Score book - before computers were really added to the scene.

    great videos! Very helpful - thank you so much!
    I've got a question: So I'm preparing for a concert for which I'll compose music to a silent movie and then conduct it live. Does Dorico have any options or functions with which it can help during the live performance? Something like counting bars on the video or I don't know what genius things are possible :) thank you so much for your help!

      Great! We're aware of some other similar projects that were also done using Dorico (importing the video and using markers etc): e.g. The Piano blog.dorico.com/2019/02/dorico-showcase-the-piano-live-with-the-london-contemporary-orchestra/ and more recently they did Death of Stalin. Which silent movie will you be doing?

      @@dorico Two days ago my concert took place and it went really well. Thanks to so many great features in dorico, it was possible to create a beautiful experience for the audience and all the musicians! Keep up the great work, dorico!
