Most people are not aware of this service provided by Airtel.
Check this video to see how you can connect a phone and enjoy the benefits of having a landline with your Airtel Broadband connection. You get a separate phone number as well.
The connection does not require you to install any third party apps or anything. It's similar to using a normal landline phone. The only difference here is that the handset connects to your router instead of the wall connection.

I think you can use a telephone splitter to connect two phones. I have not used it personally, but it should work.

Yes, that's what it means. You can call any number via this landline and it will be free.
I was using the 799 plan and have recently downgraded to 499. This service still works fine.

No, not using a lan cable. You need a normal telephone cable that is called an RJ11 cable.

If you dial any number starting with 1860, then are the call charges added to your monthly broadband bill? (Asking because 1860xxxxx numbers are usually chargeable despite having an unlimited calling plan.)
Well, I am able to call 1860 number. I just tried connecting to Hindustan Unilever customer support that has a 1860 number and it worked.
Regarding the charges, I will keep you updated when I get the next bill.

This will allow you to take the handset to any room inside your house. Given that the handset is in the coverage area of the base unit.

You have to add 0 before dialling any mobile number. For example, if you are calling 987654321 phone number, you should call on 0987654321. Hope this answers your question.

The actual phone needs to be purchased by you separately. They do not provide that with the broadband connection.

Hi RS Verma, I think even with the 500Rs plan it's free.
You get a separate landline number with this connection. It's mentioned on your bill.
Or you can call on your mobile from your landline and get the number

Well, Airtel Xstream Fiber is a Broadband provided in India.
It does not operate with Sim Card. It's basically a fiber optic line that gets installed in your house to which the router is connected. The phone is then connected to the router for availing the free calls service.

Usually it takes 5-7 days for your landline no to get registered officially.
I think you called from a jio number to your landline no.. i also had the issue but now it's sorted out

The WiFi extender that I have suggested in the above link supports upto 300Mbps speed. With the Ultra plan of Airtel, they give a separate powerful router anyway.

WIth your broadband connection, you get a separate fixed line number. This is separate from your registered mobile number.

Do you know this is Airtel fiber net box. It’s router and they are what cable using in your connection please share . Yesterday I took connection they are provided only 777VR1 router and cat 5 cable. In your router wifi calling is working or not. First wifi calling is there or not check. Use Vodafone SIM card. Then do you know. ( Airtel and jio SIM card are wifi calling sim when you put in your mobile enable in phone settings show the wifi calling) in case your use Vodafone sim there are no wifi calling not enable in settings. For that your fiber box have wifi calling settings will be enable when connect with your mobile wifi on . That wifi settings enable

Wifi calling works when my Phone is connected to the Wifi of the Airtel Broadband.
And yes, it's the Airtel fiber box. For connecting a landphone to your router, you need to purchase the telephone cable separately. I have provided link in the description of the video.

The light glows after you lift up the handset. Also check if you get a dialtone on your phone.
If not, then you might have to call the Airtel Customer Care team.

Yes you can. You will have to purchase a cordless phone. In the video, for simplicity I have used a cord based phone, but I am using a cordless one.

There are various plans to choose from. With specific plans, the router is free. In other cases, there's a nominal charge.

8 Digit number. But when someone is calling you, they need to prefix the STD code. This is similar to any proper landline number.
