There's something about the artstyle of your maps and characters that just brings me warm feelings. Probably because you were the first historical battle channel I started following on CZcams so your content is just instant dopamine. Just goes to show that your quality has never dwindled!
Is the effect of the shadows at the border of the maps
I noticed that the "troops" did not have sharp points like in previous videos, still that didn't take away from the entertainment and quality value.
Don't forget the narrator.
I 2nd this statement.
Same.
BAZBATTLES!!!
BAZBATTLLESS
BAZBATTTLLLESSS!!!!
BAZ !
@@R_V_ ...LIGHTYEAR!
Big Baz Wolf!
You were the first content creator of animated battles and history i ever found. Youre still my Favorite. Never Stop. THank you.
It always kills me how the later roman empire was like a nonstop play of Spartacus.
“I’m the Roman Emperor!”
“No, I’m the Roman Emperor!”
Justinian joined the ChatRoom
It's interesting in a way how Romans were so smart about so many practical and insititutional things but were never able to implement systems of stable transfer of power in the post-republic era.
@@current9300 In fact, they created such a system. It was called the Republic, "res publica", the things of the people. These quarrels existed not during the Republic, but during the Empire.
After you have read some books about the late period of the republican Rome, from the Social wars on, try to find some similarities with the events happening at the USA and Brazil, where magnates (magnus means great in Latin, but was a sign of superb when one bestowed that name to himself, like Pompeius Magnus) aim to seize the Republic for their own benefit.
That happens when corruption takes hold. The ruling elite stops caring for the country and only think about how can they get more power and wealth.
@MalekitGJ Justinian gets propped up by Belisarius - i.e. 'Chat Moderatour' Belisarius has joined the chat.
BazBattles will always be my favorite blocks fighting history series. Please keep making them.
it's nice cuz he actually focuses on the BATTLES, which is what we care about. other channels have 90% of the video of some random nonsense then a couple minutes of battles.
@Chris Hayes I could understand wanting to give context to the battle. But yeah other channels drag shit out by telling everything that happened ten years before the battle.
Baz and HistoryMarche are the best
I always missed Baz making a video on this. Here it is. Bravo !
Keep them coming baz. You are respected and your works is sought after. Thankyou for the content.
I echo the words of others.
You were the first historical animated channel I followed, and the experience is beyond captivating.
Never stop, please do more content. Still waiting for the WW2 stories for the siege of Malta 🇲🇹 🙏❤️
Any chance we one day get the battles of Stonne, Westerplatte, or one of the operations against the Metaxas Line? That would be rad. Any battle of lesser-known theaters would be nice to see in this style of report, really.
Good to see you back at it again
Both the history and your documentaries are incredible. Keep up the great work!
Alaric and stilicho was in this battle two important people who going to play big big roles in the upcoming years. One trying to carve out a nation state for his people and the other trying to save a dying empire.
Stilicho, Aetius, Majorian... great men born in desperate times, trying to stem the inevitable.
I was missing the Roman/Medieval battles. Love the videos!
The legend that is Baz has returned !!!!
By god, sir! So they have.
I love how you always find the more obscure battles of history but no less important
You have no idea how fast I responded to my notification of your new video. Please don’t stop.
I'm simple guy. If I see BazBattles video, I click
Great that the crew behind Bazbattles has picked up speed in publishing new historical videos since this video was published.
Fantastic, concise and informative as always! 🎉 🎉🎉
OMG this battle happened in SLOVENIA!!! I live near Emona - Ljubljana
By winning this battle, the Roman Empire began to decline farther into fall worse than Adrianople had shouldered upon it's dwindling legions.
Awe-inspiring videos from the legends Balthasar and Dan Boud of the BazBattles channel!
The Western army mostly suffered
I dont agree. Eugenius was a threat to Roman unification.
This was the first channel I started watching with my son that has the historic and ancient battles.
Great to have you back!
Eugenius went bye bye and Arbogast checked out. What would have happened had Theodosius lived and ruled the empire for another decade or two? Really interesting thoughts.
Cool thing about this battle is how diverse and mechanized both sides were in their makeup. Theodosius army being composed of so many groups reminds me of the Punic Wars, where great armies had numerous people's/mercenaries holding varying roles.
Baz is back with a battle from antiquity! Yes!
Imagine this guy posting once a week that would be a blessing . I learned so much more in here than my history professor
It wouldn't be a BazBattles video without some king or emperor dying of illness. Great vid, keep up the good work.
A battle that gave some stability to an Empire that was already about to fall and only delayed the inevitable; Excellent video, they have a charm that cannot be seen on other similar channels.
Hm, the battle, in fact, accelerated the fall of Western Rome Empire. It's mobile field armies were never able to recover. Only twelve years later the Rhine border defence collapsed and Britain was abandoned. Only men like Stilicho and Flavius Aetius delayed an much faster end of Western Rome.
@@mikeschlau4501 But if not for this battle, the war would have protracted even more resources over a larger period. A single battle, while costly, is better than an still contested despute.
Ah yes, an event before Total War: Atilla, love it.
I LOVE BAZ BATTLES
Praise the lord! He's back!
It's always a good day when there's a new BazBattles video.
This channel is unique, absolutely brilliant content!
Gotta love that good old Roman Empire definition of "trusted".
