  • Ever wondered what a normal day entails for a Chiropractor? From taking histories, conducting exams, ordering tests and reporting on findings, this just makes up half of the day. Surprisingly it's not just adjustments / spinal manipulatuion / "cracking backs". Watch the video to find out more about what really happens
    As the clinic director I'm also part of the leadership team who train the junior chiropractors and lead the team locally.

      No worries Pia, I'm glad it was worth watching. In the future I'll be able to film a bit more, but it's hard to with infection control procedures currently.

    is it common for chiropractors to work in integrative settings like this with other providers/specialities. i am a chiropractic student in the states and it’s the direction i want to go in

    • @lifeofryan_
      @lifeofryan_  Před 2 lety

      Not as common as it should be. I'd say in Australia at least, the majority of Chiropractors work in solo practices.

      Check out the IANM (International Academy of Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine).. it gives you accreditation needed to get into medical homes, hospitals , va , etc where there is a lot of integrated opportunities.

      Hi Niyaz, i was fortunate enough to have direct entry into a chiropractic program here in Australia. It's a 5 year double degree here in Australia. So my advice was study hard and you'll get there! Pay varies greatly, and it really depends on location and how much you want to work. To give you an idea, there are award wages to set out the base income for a chiropractor, then usually based on performance there are bonuses. Similar to how a doctor or surgeon is paid.

      With jobs like chiro's and physios the pay is incredibly hard to determine accurately. If you search for the pay of an australian chiro, it will say between 80k - 100k, but this is because it is pretty much only taking into account chiropractors that are working for a clinic, and it doesnt take into account the odd 40 percent of all chiropractors that own their clinics (and in turn make a lot more).

    Is chiropractor study hard? N is it stressful working?

    • @lifeofryan_
      @lifeofryan_  Před 2 lety +10

      It's a hard course yes. Minimum 5 years of university training, 100's of exams. In depth, intense, time consuming but worth it. It's not a stressful workplace, and you can make it as slow or as fast paced as you like.

      Sorry to disappoint. Lots of adjustments happened, just can't walk in with a camera and film. Hope you still got a bit out of what's involved in a normal day

      @@paulbrungardt9823 it definitely varies by where u are. I know some chiros who own multiple top tier practices in great areas. Places that are developed there is much more business. Nothing in the medical
      Field is cheap anymore to study unfortunately 😂

      @@shawnrandhawa8722 Let us examine your position based on the average. The average chiropractor, podiatrist or optometrist does not make enough money to warrant the time, expense or effort. Nothing personal; however, I practiced optometry when ODs made a good income...no longer.
