    Bless your heart!
    I unfortunately live at the end of a primitive trail where my FJ gets to show it's off-road chops regularly. That said, I dig everything you've done here.

    My favourite simple FJ mod was changing out the interior lighting with LEDs in order to get rid of the dim yellow factory interior lighting. Also upgraded the rear license plate lighting to LED white light.

      Thank you! You might find my video on heated seats helpful: czcams.com/video/kj5D28hMKXY/video.html. I installed the heating elements way before I started filming my mods, so unfortunately, I don't have any video of the installation, but check the description in the video link - there's a step-by-step document that I have included that may be helpful. Good luck!

      It's never too late. I'd recommend 2010 model year and above. You'll pay a little more than the earlier models, but you'll save yourself some future headaches.

    Had the same idea as you with the Garage door opener. Actually put mine in the same area as you mentioned.
    One side of that double switch is my garage door and the other opens my back window.

      Nice video, we pretty much did the exact same thing, only difference is I stuck the remote behind the switch.
      Would you have a link to the switch you used, the link you have brings to a round momentary switch.

    I was looking for the OEM air compressor as well. I found it for sale on Caliraised. I just think it might be in the way, especially when you going on trail. The back probably packed with equipment and gear. Great videos, you always always find new ideas. Keep up the great work.

    • @LiL13izzy7
      @LiL13izzy7  Před 3 lety

      Yeah, Cali Raised Off-road was the local vendor I was put in contact with by NSV. As I mentioned, even at the sale price, it's quite a bit of coin, and that's not even including the cost of installation. The pros and cons have to be weighed, and for me at the moment, there are more cons. I still love the idea of an OEM-type on board compressor, but maybe in the distant future... If you do get it, let me know how it works out for you.

    With the installs you have done, I guarantee you can install the back up camera and forward camera yourself. The headunit is really not that complicated. The inputs are all labeled.
    I went with the homelink overhead console for the garage door opener. I personally need all three buttons though (2 garage doors and an entrance gate).

    • @LiL13izzy7
      @LiL13izzy7  Před 3 lety

      I considered homelink as well, and actually bought an overhead console from a Honda Accord initially, but I preferred the dual sunglasses from the Ford F-150, and figured I would go with a push button garage opener in the future.

    • @LiL13izzy7
