  • A lot of the inspirational content we see does not hold water outside of the first world.
Sometimes, when I tell people stories about my life, they say,
"I would have never been able to deal with that."
The fact is, I don't think my stories are that bad.
When I read things in the Bible like,
    "I shall not want,"
I have to sit with that.
If, God forbid, I lost my husband, my child, my home, my abilities, my freedom, myself, at what point would I want for something?
There are many worldwide who are being martyred for their faith in Christ.
When they are interviewed, they are hopeful.
If this earth is it, we are in trouble.
    As Paul said,
"If in this life only we have hope in Christ,
we are of all men most miserable." (1 Cor 15:19)
But there is more than this life.
    If I had nothing,
God alone would have to be enough.
    I would not want.
That being said, I have a lot more than nothing.
Everything we have is for others.
If it is in your power to help, do so.
Let us be the hands and feet of Christ
that we might all want for nothing
until He returns and restores all things.
